Ok, and the next one:

Yes it is Spa. It’s the run down to Eau Rouge past the pit wall for the 24hr circuit.

Not giving any clues in the future as it seems to make it too easy. Thread is called Guess the track after all . :)

Your turn to post.
Nooo, I love hints as a bit of conversation keeps the thread lively. It just so happened that coincidentally, I watched a short documentary about the formation of famous european circuits on yt only a few days ago and that story stuck. Don't recall the year, car and driver though. Anyway, not home until later in the evening and I don't have anything to post on my mobile, so if you have another track for us to guess, post away :)

Edit: at first I thought of the final straight of Lago Maggiore, hence my question for real or fictional.

Its very difficult to find a clue that isn’t a dead give away to what the track is. I spent more time on the clue than I did the photo! :)
The year of that race was 1921. I was unable to find out who the sole entrant was but the first official Belgian Grand Prix was held in 1922 and won by Baron de Tornaco-Bruyère.

In the mean time, try this “clueless” one :

The Glen?

Nürburgring GP/24h?

The guard rails remind me of the Nordschleife, but there isn't such a curvy flat section and parked trucks afaik.

Is it a European circuit?

Is it a European circuit?
No it’s not in Europe.

C’mon folks, it’s called “guess the track” not “wait until the guy who posted it tell us which track it is” :)

Where are all the Sherlock Holmes’s of the motor world?

Asking interrogative questions seems more like an actual investigation a detective would conduct, rather than taking random guesses. In any case, giving clues or asking for some seems more engaging to me than days without any posts and may even attract more people to make a guess.

In that sense, here is an educated guess based on the info given and what I see in the pic: the glaring daytime sun makes me think of a dry, arid place. Could the track be Mt. Panorama?

I take your point but I was under the impression that, by definition, random guesses is the name of the game.

Hopefully those guesses will come about from your personal experiences in the game rather than the poster having to give a series of yes/no answers in order to narrow down the target area.

Sadly, the fun of the thread has gone. This last photo is from the infield at Blue Moon Bay. Stay safe everyone. :)

I'm sorry if this argument ruined the fun for you. This was definitely not my intention. And I don't want to tell you how to post. I only wanted to point out, that when no one knows the answer and no hints are given, people might lose interest. In the end, if it's not defined in the original post, it's up to each one posting a new image. You want to give clues or not, it's your choice.

In any case, I would be grateful if you could reconsider your withdrawal, as I always enjoyed guessing your fotos, clues or not. And I really don't want to be the one responsible for someone else's discomfort.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate your remarks and don’t worry, I’m not in any discomfort :)

I enjoy the light-hearted aspect of this thread and just didn’t want to prolong our discussion to the detriment of the thread.

Anyway, let’s just move on and post our photos as we want to. I actually don’t have any atm so if someone wants to restart us, post away.
