[GUIDE] Historic Racing Car Cup

Hey guys,

Some tuning tips for the B-Spec Toyota 7 Monaco race.

1. Make sure you have the turbo and rigidity improvements added.
2. Purchase racing mediums.
3. Change your final gear ration to around 240km/h. This allows the car to accelerate better and overtake better whilst not sacrificing time over the straights as they don't hit 240 for long before braking anyway.
4. Change your rear toe angle to 0.00. Pretty sure the driver was getting stuffed around by the added oversteer (as they don't drive like us) and this was responsible for them hitting that corner before the main straight.
5. Not sure how much driver level factors into it but mine was 20 (and in good form/blue up arrow)

If anyone has any issues let me know, and let me know how it worked for you! I was running it without tuning apart from turbos for a while and wondered why my driver sucked. Tuning it slightly shot me instantly to gold. Stupid B-Spec.

Given monaco 3 goes already with Bob San (he's Japanese) and he totally sucked balls even with constant prodding only managed 2nd...& is lvl 21, going to give this a shot cheers for the hot tip ;) then be time 2 cash in to car tickets ;)

I used a fully tuned Shelby Cobra. This thing is INSANE, I had pain in the arms after driving it for 5 lalps. For 3! laps the Toyota 7 was right behind me, much pressure but it was so rewarding winning this event.

I am having a real major cash flow problem and this race is requiring hardware & cash I just do not have (and skill but... whatever)! I really want to avoid using the Lambo as I seem to hate all their cars, the special event race in the Murcialagomugianopulopraio ... yeah disaster! What is wrong with that car? The Lambo challenge? I bought that 4wd gazillion dollar Lambo... hated it!! I have a '74 countach & I really don't want to try it. Maybe the Camaro will do it for me but getting the cash to RM' it will be long :( I wish my B-spec drivers weren't so terrible so I can use the right hardware.

Can you use a Buick Special '62 for this?

Tried it, you can, but you'll probably lose because it is horrible in the corners. It's pretty damn quick on the straights, but unfortunately, neither of the tracks (Deep Forest and Cote d'Azur) have many straights.

As for everyone else, thank you for continuing to provide each of your own inputs. When I've next got some spare time, I might write up some extra stuff in the guide talking about alternate cars. ;)

I tried this with the RMed Challenger R/T. Failed miserably so far. That thing sure is hard to handle. Guess this one would be a lot easier with the ferrari 330 P4 you use somewhere in the S licenses. Too bad it costs a fortune...

Im doing B-spec monte carlo in a fully upgraded Toyota 7, speed is not a problem

The issue is that every time I come out of the tunnel near someone (doesnt matter if you go fast or slow, regardless of orders) My Bob will try to onertake on the inside into the chicane, and hits the inside barrier EVERY damned time, spins around, and waits all gentleman like for the entire field to pass by before setting off again.

In conclusion, circumstances at 1 single corner on every single lap decide if I will come first or almost last, and so far its always the latter.:grumpy:

Ol Bob isn't doing too well still with this one constantly clips the same wall over taking and screw's himself just for a laugh i created a new driver and put him in the toyota 7...he came 8th @ lvl0 (and cracked lvl3 for his efforts!) with no input Bob @ lvl21 eats **** every race and comes 12th...

WTF

*note with constant prodding Bob (lvl21) has made 2nd 3 times ffs...

For anyone working in pounds sterling that's 155mph on the car setup screen :), Just tried it now and b-spec nob is first on lap 4

Tried and failed over 50 times each with both the RM 69 Camero and the RM 70 Challenger on Deep Forest. Won the Cote d'Azure race with not to many problems, though. This is the last race I have to win in A-Spec, with the exception of Formula GT, and the Endurance Series.

Now. . . If someone lets me Borrow their Toyota 7 '70, for about 10 minutes, to complete this race. I will gift you both my RM Camero, and RM Challenger.

I will send the Toyota 7 as soon as I win the race. I would send you the RM Camero and Challenger in good faith before you let me borrow the Toyota 7, but then I couldn't send you back your Toyota 7 right away because of the one gift per day thing.

Or give me yours and I'll add you.

The time I spent doing this I could have grinded out about 10,000,000cr and a couple of levels in EXP. :scared: I'm done with it, and refuse to do B-Spec! :ouch:

Did exactly as the guide said, had a bit of trouble with Deep Forest but Cote was fine. Cheers OP!

Why is the prize car so crap? D:

Want to finish this Deep Forest Race so badly!

For anyone letting me borrow a Toyota 7 '70 for about 10 minutes before me sending it back to you, I will give you a RM Camero '69, and a RM Challenger '70, to keep.

Feel free to add me.

I am dog sick of trying to win this race, wasted about enough time doing it to where I could have had about 7,000,000cr and a TON of EXP, and I'm boycotting B-Spec, refuse to do it!

Can anyone help me.

I tried it the last 4 days with that car. On Monaco its quiet easy to win with the 512BB, I won that race on my first time without getting into trouble.

But I can`t manage to win at Deep Forrest with that car. Sometimes I manage to be 2nd on lap 2 and then overtake the first car (as long its just a GT40 or something like that) on turn 1, but as soon as a Toyota 7 overtakes him too, I have no chance.
The 512BB is just way to slow in those corners compared to the Toyota 7 (no wings), in Monaco its not that bad because you can`t really overtake someone there, but in Deep Forest with those Tilke like wide corners those beasts can even overtake you from the outside line.

I`ll give the Countach a try.

I just wanted to note that I won that race on my first try with a fully tuned Countach. Guys, believe me, just put max aero on it, lower its ride height, give it a short transimission (hell, I just bought a 5 speed gear box and it worked) and just hope that you can get p1 at turn 1.

Guys, Im such a medicore driver and still won that race with the Countach. Just give it a try! ;)

I have a '74 countach & I really don't want to try it.

I have the chromeline merci and frankly I hate it. I'd trade it off in a SECOND if I could. But I love the 74 Countach. One of my favorites in the game. Seriously. It is a completely different animal. When I won it I thought "Great. Another lambo for me to hate." But was I surprised when I drove it!

Yeah, the Countach is awesome. Fully tuned it only weights about 900kg. It only lacks power.

I won this race with it and thought it was just the opposite.

The Power was enough, but other than a rear wing you can't add a full aero kit. The handling was the weak spot.

I did it with the ferrari 330 P4 that i managed to get as a trade from a nice guy on the marketplace! :)
Took me a couple of attemps, added a couple of engine kits to boost the speed and the soft racing tyres so it can put that power down, amazing car!

No, its almost impossible with cars without wings/adjustable aero.

I tried it with a fully tuned 512BB and had no luck. I put many hours into that race and still failed.

Then I started the engine of my Countach and BANG won the race immediatly.
If you need a Countach, win that Lambo Event and you will get one as reward.

Ok I have the Camaro, and the money to RM it, but before I do it, should i purchase all the race grade tune ups prior to the RM mod? I read somewhere once you RM you cant upgrade anything, but if you upgrade everything before the RM, once the RM is done you can re-apply all of your upgrades.

you can rm it first then modify it. When i first got my camaro all i put on it was exhaust and inlet mods then did rm and added all the rest as money allowed,

Does anyone have countach I can borrow or trade for my psn is kaylord add me I need it for this race bcuz I sold the one I won earlier thanks
