These people are sharing information about how to obtain these hacked cars that are clearly against PSN's TOS.

What on Earth gives you the idea that GT Planet, or indeed anyone outside Sony, is responsible for enforcing PSN's TOS?

This place is tuning in to a petri dish for this virus. :yuck:

Where is there instructional info being given on how to hack the saves for the game on GTP? I had to go on a completely different forum to find out more information about how it is done just to keep people from spreading falsehoods about them here.

As far as I'm aware GTP does not have, and never has had, support from PD.

The site owner had an interview with Kazunori Yamauchi. More access than either you or I will ever have.

By leaving the hybrid threads in the most read/visited forums they are/have been allowing these hybrid/cheaters the maximum exposure.

I know I have been warned - but come on Jordan fix this crap.

At least explain why they have not been moved to the correct forum.

Here's an idea, Houston: instead of complaining about how the forums should be run, why don't you post things in the way you'd like the forum to be? You're not going to like every thread (neither do I), and even out of the 100 latest threads, only 4 are related to hybrids. Sure, a couple of people are going to crash threads (usually new members), and if so, just ignore the requests or anything off-topic.

The game is over two years old, it's not as if gameplay is totally ruined forever.

That cat was out of the bag the second they showed up on Youtube, a site that has view counts that GTP wouldn't get if Kaz himself posted here every day.

At least explain why they have not been moved to the correct forum.

Because they don't all necessarily belong in the hybrid forum. 3 of the threads are all talking about the impact they have on the game, and the 4th one is talking about people who have experienced them online. The threads that are in the hybrid forum are the ones talking about how to get/make/whatever them.

nobody is saying that GTP is responsible for enforcing PSN's TOS, (give me a break) But allowing instructional info on how to hack and dissemination info on hacked cars is obviously detrimental to the game. GTP can do what ever they want to do, but one would think that they would want to discourage hacking because of its destructivness.

Did you even read the statement I'd quoted? No? Didn't think so.

Toronado already covered this, but I'll agree with him; the threads in the main section (or Q&A) are discussions dealing with how these cars affect the game. As such, they are not in the wrong place.

As for your demand: you've already been told, numerous times at this point, what the decision is. If you'd like to continue demanding it (in addition to negative comments about the staff), feel free to log out. We do not tolerate people discussing how to make these cars, but we will not be burying our heads in the sand about them, either.

EDIT: Oh, and don't double-post, either.

No support but they are aware of our existence and have let us into private events before for coverage.

So Obama has had an interview with Fox News. By your logic, does that mean Obama supports Fox News? That's more access than you or I will ever have.

Indeed, it was basically telling you how to use a tool to hack the save data. Certainly shouldn't have been here.

Way to be an enabler for all this trading of cars that you yourself said violates Sony's Terms of Use policy!

Way to have integrity for the game!

Way to be hypocritical and ban some but not others, be consistent.

This website is useless now other than for one thing to trade cars that arent even in the game.

Let the haters chime in I could care less its already ruined for me and I am sure Im not the only one that feels this way. Let the trollers trade the cars in their online lobbies, but now they have a perfect place to come do it. And ruin it for the rest of us!

I guess I just have the balls to speak my mind.

Violate me again...do me a favor! Now we got all these people coming in flooding the marketplace with hacked this and hacked that!

Edit:

Yeah make me post this where the people dont see it I get it. Just cause I am calling you out and you can avoid it all you want.

Good! nonsense, just the kind of answer Id expect...

I dont wish negative things on people, but I am a business owner and if I knew someone (or a website) was letting people abuse my work (in this case a game which alot of people work on) Id try to shut them down. People make accounts non stop making a mockery of it...

I guess just a bunch of pawns...

Sigh.

PD is probably working on a patch as we speak, and if they are not working on a patch, they either don't care, or they see an extension of the lifespan of GT5. Go to the hybrids subforum and read the GT5 thread, this will become a bit more clear.

Stop acting like you are trying to save PD by blaming GTP. GTP is not the one to blame here, this website does nothing wrong.

Perhaps you want to read what the site owner wrote in another thread in this forum.

Perhaps you want to tell us why consistently banning people who are sharing the methods, programs and techniques required to create these cars but not those who exchange them is hypocritical.
Just ****ing ban me already
Why? What have you done to merit it?

If you just don't wish to visit the site any more, you can close the tab. We're not going to act as your self-control.

The quote from Jordan :

Your thread had nothing to do with Site Support, and, as noted, the ethics and implications of the cars are being discussed in several other topics around the site.

I share your concerns about what the hacked cars could and are doing to the integrity of GT5's online racing, but to suggest GTPlanet is somehow at "fault" for the existence of the cars or "promoting hacking" is absurd. We don't allow any discussion about how to "hack" or modify the PlayStation console, and can do nothing to prevent players from using, sharing, or trading the cars in the game.

To prohibit any discussion on their existence, which I presume is what you're arguing for, would be a laughably naive policy.

And the GT5 hybrids thread.

Hopefully, the hackers get bored of doing this, because cars with 100,000+ bhp are really only good on ssrx, and non-technical tracks.
