(CONGRATULATIONS JOHNBM01 FOR 100 POSTS!!!)
Thank you.
Glad you mentioned the racing Rufs. As a project in Gran Turismo 2, I bought every Ruf car they offered in their lineup. If I didn't have the money to purchase one, I'd re-load the game and then purchase that car. Now, I didn't do it because I wanted my own yard sale. I did it to see if I could modify the car to be a racer. As my experiment turned out, I could not make out a race car of any of the Rufs I had. The cars didn't even have names for their colors. Like... no "Alfa Red," "Technoblau," "Milan Red," "Indy Yellow Pearl," "Sebring Silver Metallic," Sonic Orange," or anything like that (By the way, my favorite name for a car color: "Plum Crazy" (GT2)).
Now as I said earlier, I thought France's Venturri and Germany's Ruf were "substitutes" for Ferrari and Porsche. In GT3, Ferrar...Venturri was not there. And Ruf had cars more similar to some of the Porsches in our modern time. Just imagine if Ruf had their own 917... But for the most part, Ruf is like Tommy kaira. Only thing is that Ruf makes their own cars and have their own licensing for their cars. T.K. (Tommy Kaira) made their ZZs.
So, the chances of a racing model of either make are pretty low. But if they bring Porsche, I wouldn't mind being in Sascha Maasen's Porsche, for Kevin Buckner's Daytona24-winning Racer's Group Porsche (even though Daytona kind of serves as a "the Daytona 500 is coming" feeder race IMHO). If Ferrari comes in, I will pay to race the Momo Ferrari 333SP with its sweet sound and elegant body design. Even though Ferrari is committed to F1, I think they'd still be kicking ass if they went factory against Audi's R8.
