I just watched the trailer on TV for the new Will Smith movie 'Hancock' I gotta say this film looks great and I cant wait for its release 👍 Looks funny as hell and with the special powers etc .. It should be a blast  Will has definitely improved leaps and bounds since his fresh prince and bad boys days! even though I loved the fresh prince episodes .. he has come a long way in his acting skills 👍

Here's a trailer for anyone not familiar with Hancock

http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2497904921/

"I don't remember that"
"Greenpeace does"

Looks like it could be quite a laugh ! :-)

You can download the trailer on the PS3, provide you have one, of course.

"What do you want? A cookie?"
"Jackass."

I agree with the above. Looks funny. Hopefully, they don't ruin it at the parts where he tries to take things seriously.

Looks pretty good from the trailer, but i get the feeling it could be one of those films where once you've seen the trailer, you've pretty much seen the best bits.

OMG, are you guys kidding me?! It looks soooooooooooo stupid. When I saw the preview for this in the theater I was laughing out loud at all the people who were commenting "that looks good" after the trailer ended. I can't be the only one who thinks this looks like a big pile of poo-doo.

Well thanks for the confusion Chet! I think it looks interesting and pretty funny considering he's not your run of the mill superhero.

Yep, definitely the only one.

Well, I don't think it's going to be a stinking pile of monkey poo.
However, I'm gonna wait for it to come to video.
I don't think it'll be too long before it's on the $9 rack at Wal-Mart.

And I'm not dissing the movie.
But for me to go to the movies with the family is like an $80 proposition.
Waiting for Iron Man to hit the video aisle too.

Looked like another Will Smith playing Will Smith character and saving the world or I'm the last one left again.

So, any reviews? On local forums I've read the first half is good but the second half is crap. The thing is I want to go to the movie theater this week and this seem the only good option they have. There's Wall-E and Kung-Fu Panda too but both are dubbed only, which sucks.

I didn't see it... but there was an exclusive clip.

A superhero outfit seriously... SERIOUSLY? bullet proof? Seriously... SERIOUSLY...? wow...

Anyone else notice how it was marketed as a light-hearted superhero comedy of sorts, but as soon as Christopher Nolan and Warner Brothers started divulging information about The Dark Knight and more details about Heath Ledger's performance in that film started to come about, Hancock was suddenly billed as a serious character study?

That alone was enough to set of the warning bells for me. When a film's promotional campaigns change as a knee-jerk reaction to a rival film - not that Hancock was ever in the same league as The Dark Knight - it's always a bad sign.

Saw Hancock yesterday, briliant film, a lot better than I thopught it would be. Ending could have been better I feel though.

Will Smith is definitely the best actor of this generation IMO. I don't think he's ever had a flop movie... the man is capable of making the most extraordinary stories memorable. 👍

No flop movies?

Uh, Independence Day? Men In Black II? I, Robot? Bad Boys 2? Wild Wild West? And now this? Sure, he was good in Ali and Enemy of the State, but he's hardly in contention for the title "Best Actor of This Generation". I mean, he'd have to go through Christian Bale, Daniel Craig, Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp and a whole host of others first before he could even be considered for the title.

Finally watched it last night, it sure provided a lot of laughs.

Anyone else thinks the main villain looks just like UnoMoto?

I don't see any of those movies as flops considering they made good money, only ones i cared for was independence day and i robot. But i agree with the best actor thing, Johnny Depp's role as Hunter S. Thompson in fear and loathing was one of the best acting jobs ive seen, fantastic:tup: Also another actor that comes to mind is Jim Carrey in man on the moon. He not only nailed the part as andy kaufman but was borderline obsessed with the part as i seen behind the scene things on it. Im not a fan of JC but the job he did playing that part deserves to be praised.

This movie could have used another half hour. But it was bad regardless. Charlize Theron was just annoying throughout the entire thing. And then the twist? Wow. How ridiculous.

The whole last half hour was really downhill.
