Ok, a day early, but I don't think I'll have time to be here tomorrow.

I will spend the day at home since I just got back from rehab and not feeling well enough to wheel myself around, yet. I'll watch the Indianapolis 500, the Monaco Grand Prix, a few local Memorial Day parades, eat hot dogs and macaroni salad, play with my boys and then watch the Hatfields and Mcoys on TV. Oh, and fly the American flag, of course! ;)

I'm not American but I do appreciate the lives of those lost in war times, it happens in all nations. May they rest in peace.

Have yourselves a peaceful day my American friends, as you revere the memories of those who fought to give it to you.

I second this.

It seems that though all our disagreements and differences, we all, through every nation, share a common communion of thankfulness to those who gave their lives to secure e freedom which we all enjoy today.

I love it when I can talk to people from other countries. It seems we all have something in common and to this day sometimes I can never understand why we fought.

Happy Memorial Day to you guys across the pond.

Reminded me of this excellent and very poignant advert on the TV at the moment.

I thought it was tomorrow.

Happy Memorial Day!

It is tomorrow. Somebody didn't read my entire post. ;)

NO!!! No, no, no! No political crap in this thread! Save it for someplace else, please.

Thank you.

It's nice living just outside of Washington D.C. on days like tomorrow. I will probably be going to the Arlington Cemetery to pay my respects. Lots of ancestors of mine who served lie there, and I've never really gotten a chance to thank them, despite living here for five years.

Have a good one all 👍

I third this.

It's kind of irrelevent why or what the wars were about, this day is about the people.

Don't take this the wrong way, but what's the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day?

For Memorial day we honor those who died fighting for our country. For Veteran's day we honor those who have served our country.

Happy Memorial day everybody. :)👍
