i started yesterday to modify my racing cokpit...
they have a dfp.. and a renault 12 seat...
but..
i star to play more epr... and they have clutch..
so i decide to create a clutch pedal from a old strening wheel i have...( a joystick transformed into a strening wheel)
i disarm everything and i keep a few things....
the regulator of intensity...( the thing that rotates)
and the board with conections and cables....
and later...
i start to complicate the things...
because i want to create a shifter and a handbrake...
so i decide to use one of the pedals to create the clutch and another to the handbrake.... and use the l2 and r2 to exend it and create a gearbox...
i go to a parts shop for citroen 2cv and cars like that... and i ask...
and the parts are too expensive... ( and i have 0 money LOL)
later i open the dfp pedals and i saw the how it works... and i saw a thing with bolts in the front part.... separated from the rest of the wheel.... so... i opened it.... and i so a balast... and 💡.... i toke the and star to strike it... and give the form of a pedal.... and looks grate... i take some peaces of metal and create a pedal.... tomorow i will find something to the gearbox and the shift...
but... i complicated it more....
because... the dfp have 900 degrees of turning... and a real car have to complete turns to each side (1420 degrees) so i going to see how i can modificate the wheel to have that degrees of turning...
and replace the strening wheel for a real car wheel....
and install a better electric engine for the feedback because more radius means less force
when i finnish this thing i WILL create the instructions parts to buy or to create to build this crazy thing... with blueprints and schematics
i thing is not sooooo hard... but it will take time...
if anyone have some sugestions to the last modification ( the modification of the runing gears, the electric engine and the real wheel...) please post your sugestions here...
i disarm the wheel case to see how is it inside but i never open the strening wheel....
