i literally just got home with the game and am installing the update as I write this.
I was wondering about hardlocking the the PS3 into 720p only mode to see if there is a performance increase. I've read about people doing this and saying that some 1080p games run a little smoother.
Also, for anyone who has a TV that can only display up to 720p, isn't this a no brainer?
I never tried this on GT5 as I had gotten rid of the game before I learned that you could lock the Ps3 to specific resolution output. But I have since read that people experienced some improvements after doing this on GT5.
