Has DR Judgment Criteria update actually made a difference in matching?

No but then it wouldn't affect things for me personally as I'm usually in races with the top ten/other fast guys, I do however still see B rated drivers seconds off the pace in the same race but then again maybe there is not enough players at that time.

Yes but you're assuming it matches based on that one race, it's global. If I have a bad quali session I don't all of a sudden get grouped with the noobs. That would be sandbagging and could be exploited.

I just hope that they aren't basing matchups solely on SR anymore. SR/DR matchmaking makes more sense. Definitely not times only. That would lead to rampant sandbagging.

I made no assumptions, your post does though. I just stated facts, I stated who I get matched with, I made no mention of qualifying time because that seems to be irrelevant, people with no time often end up in the very same race.

The game matches on safety rating first and foremost, then it factors in driver rating, sometimes it's a grid full of S and A drivers, other times there is B ones in there too, both fast Bs on there way to A and ones that will likely be there forever.

But basically the change in level judgment criteria does not seemed to have affected matchmaking, in my races at least, which is what the OP enquired about.

Ok.

If anything I would say the field was broader in my races today. All SR-S with DRs from S to C. Top 10 guys as well. The lap time gap from 1st to last was over 6 secs, on qualifying.

Before it was always DRs S, A, B.

Whatever they did I don't know if it worked or not, may just be a coincidence. But I entered 3 Suzuka Gr3 races tonight and all 3 were very close and pretty clean too. Fun was had.

Agreed. My DR is D SR is S but i recently ran races, post December 6th update with drivers with B DR S SR levels. On a personal note I drive so cautiously in Sport Mode I may never get my Driver Rating much higher. I see some serious rubbing going on and want no part of it. Would rather just run clean.

I am also DR D/SR S. It sucks. I'm still paired with drivers much faster than I. I try and try but I can never seem to match their lap times. I've been playing the franchise since GT1.

I don't know, but i got 3 wins, 3 poles and 2 fastest laps today... Only had 2 wins and nothing else out of 105 races before 1.07. DR:B SR:S

nice to hear, since I'm a high B/S-Player I had almost 50 races without win or pole...I always have to race with at least 5-10 A/S-Players, no chance....was about 4 times on the podium....but no chance to win....so I'm stuck with my 13 wins, hahaha...maybe now it will be possible to win

Yesterday I've played about 15 races, I was DR/SR B/B and ended B/A

The grids were filled the same way as before, almost only one SR and lots of DR for the same SR.
example: couple of A/B - lots of B/B - some C/B and couple of D/B and E/B

My SR evolved to A and then I saw the same distribution of DR's as before
