Have You Ever Hit "That" Point with a Car?

Have you ever hit the point with a car were you find it perfect? You know, it handles perfectly, it's fast enough for you to beat most cars you want to race with just some practice at a track or 2 and very rarely gets out of hand? Even with very few mods? I just did in my 1990 twin turbo Supra. It only has a chip, racing flywheel, and race exhaust, and it handles perfectly from the factory. I don't know what to do with the 5 K I just won! Any ideas what I should do with my cash?

Hookers and Blow. 👍

Seriously though, the TT-R Supra is a 1/2 decent bit of kit. With that 5k go this method:

Wing + Stage 1 Weight + Racing Intercooler......go in that order. You might end up maybe $100 over from memory.

well, if I'd need to name my best handling car, it would be quite a challenge.. but a safe bet would be either Mister Black (SW20 MR2, NA) or BMW 120iS M-Sport in TCv3-tune..

I don't think I ever hit that perfect point. I always find something to criticize about a car.

But keeping in the spirit of this thread, the '66 Alfa Spider is about a near-perfect as I've found (handling & maneuverability, anyways) in a historic car. Everything I do, the car compliments back with moments that make me smile.

I think I'd award my NSX-R Evo.II with the perfect award. No other car I've tuned can touch it in terms of handling. It feels so perfect to me. So balanced. But then again it could be my driving style that does it. But yeah, it's hit "that" point for me. Anything I could do to improve it wouldn't make a difference really.

Not bad for a car that's a month away from being 2 years old eh?

I found the Amuse R1 has brilliant handling+accel after tweaking with various settings. You can absolutely own the tuners' races using one of these. IMO a better car than the Opera S2000.

I always try to hit that point with a car.

Some cars take very little to find that sweet spot, others take a whole lot of time to bring out the cars full potential while others are great fun with out a single add on.

It depends on what you are looking for in that car. Pure speed, great handling or something that will out last all others in an endurance race. It also matters how much time you are willing to put into that given car in the process.

The closest to perfect car I've driven was a C3 Corvette that Greycap tuned for me. It handles very well for an american car from '69, and it just drives really well.

I think I'm addicted to a drug called MFT :ill:

Advertising everywhere, huh Leonidae?:sly:
But seriuosly, all of the MFT cars are very close to "that" point.

my first car in gt4 was the supra
still got it, and use it occasionaly
used one of the guys setups from GTP which made the car perfecto

I used to have an MG TF that was absolutely perfect. It was agile, powerful enough, and was an absolute blast to drive. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. Sadly, I lost the memory card file with it on it.

:-)

My Peugeot 905... Overlooking the gearbox I love the way it drives for a class C car.. brakes perfectly, stable, and grips the road great on any kind of tire...(alright except Economy tires or standards but no car does..)

But this seems to be a road car thread... I love the way my DB9 handles and drives, enough power to take on any supercar...

The exact opposite of those would be, Ford GT, Saleen S7, and Ford GT LM spec 2 (I hate the car on the cover, bad downforce, grip and the brakes always lock up..)

My Beetle type 1100 does the job quite well, Excellent drag car, excellent racer, and very very capable of beating most of the special conditions races. One of these days, I might put in into my garage. That way others can enjoy it.

One of my other cars that I feel has hit that point is the RX-7 in my garage. I wont say why. I'd rather let some people figure out why its so good.

Try the EP3 Civic Type R, buy everything except *Turbo (: You don't even have to set up the car.. it handles brillant, it's oversteer like a typical FR car, but has more grip.. it's so much fun to drive !! Of course, all TCS / ASM off - it's a shame in that game (:

All Lancers Evo with AYC 80 - rally style on tarmac, makes me smile too (:

*I hate Turbo in Honda's........ (:

i have hit "that" point with an nsx fully modified in the handling department and 306 hp, but the only thing is that the cars in GT4 don't slide. :indiff: In real life even karts slide (I should know since I race one). Thank God GT3 had simulation tires

My Subaru Legacy specB. I just tried it out as a test car to see if it was a good contender towards the Evos and Skylines, and with a little bit of tuning it became a supercar killer. Changing the rear tyres also makes it become one great drifter.

hey, how about my cars?? hello, TTL people, T-T-L :( ......................

j/k :D

until now i try to hit that point with my Spoon Civic Type R :sly:

You've never heard of GT4's N-tires, obviously. Go to the dealer, get a set of N tires for free (N1, N2, or N3), equip them, and then come back and give us a full report on how these tires "don't slide". I'd love to hear it.

The RUF yellow bird. No traction control, clutch/fly wheel racing, med street tires and exhaust tune racing. Def not for a novice as the brakes are weak for balance. You lift to oversteer and power for light understeer.

My 350Z Gran Turismo was the first car I bought, and I've fiddled with it to the point that it's set up perfectly for me, and I'm totally in tune with it. I can win any race with it where I'm not totally outgunned in the horsepower department.

I used a Buick Special with medium tires; other than that it was perfect stock. It got me through the start of the game very easily (I had 110,000 Cr. from my GT3 game)

The only other car I remember like that was a Toyota 2000GT, fully-tuned. It could hold its own against classic sportscars such as the Mercedes-Benz 300SL and the Jaguar E-Type, but, with more power, that was a given.

My Amuse S2000 Street Version, pretty much outta the box. And my Alfa Giulia Sprint - absolutly adored it with some weight reduction and a little mild tuning. Such fun to drive, both of them :)
