Having Tuning Problems.?.?

I am running into some crazy issues tonight while tuning vehicles..., and am curious if others have run into the same problems.

I went back in to edit some of my saved vehicle tunes. All my previous settings were there (and appeared) to have been properly saved. However.., (bare with me., it gets really odd here) when I scroll back and forth between the various sections within the tuning menus.., at times I'll notice one of the parameters that I edited is suddenly "visually" showing the lowest setting for that parameter. When I scroll down to that parameter the indicator then suddenly jumps to my setting (it does this by simply scrolling down to highlight the parameter).

I then went into another tuning menu (and this is where all hell broke loose). I've been creating basic vehicle tunes that are applicable to the track list. Currently the only setting under the "Drivetrain" that I've edited for all the vehicles is the "Final Drive" parameter. When I just scroll down to highlight the other parameters within the Drivetrain the game starts randomly applying settings to these parameters.

I've also noticed that when going back in to edit a tune that the "visual" indication of a given slider doesn't match the actually numerical setting that has been saved. Is the game properly saving tunes?

Anyone else running into this?

**just to add.., I know it's not my controllers for the PS3 as it happens on both. This same thing also happened with S2U on my Xbox 360.., and it occurred with both of my controllers on that console as well**

I haven't had it happen as of yet,but i'll keep a look out for it.

Something strange is certainly going on. I'm currently playing my Xbox version. I went in to tune one of the "Gift Cars-NFS Mustang". It was the first time I had tuned the vehicle. Upon entering the menus (just using the right trigger) to advance from one main section to the next.., I did a brief visual scan to see where all the default settings were at. I noticed the gearing on the Drivetrain had all gears at the lowest setting.

I went ahead and started changing parameters. I made a mistake and just reset the vehicle back to default. However.., this time when I did a quick scroll across the main sections, the default for the individual gears was no longer set at the lowest. They were all now dead center. This is very strange.

The problem with the slider being all the way to the left is just visual.

Ok.., that's cool.., but what about the issue I just had with the NFS Mustang? At default prior to tuning., the gearing had everything to the lowest setting. After attempting a tune.., then doing a reset back to default.., the gearing now shows all the settings dead center

did 6 cars in a row yesterday. not a single problem. but i'm on ps3...

I recognize the slider-display-bug. It's also on PS3... But, as was already stated it's purely a visual bug. The actual tuning settings are not affected.

I didn't see any slider jumping from lowest to preset. Maybe it happens if you make things in a certain order on PS3?

brambos
I noticed it a few times when I came back to a previous tuning.

I just check through half of my garage. From garage tune menu when selecting a car or tuning submenu, every single slider throughout tuning menus was where it should be.

One more bug I am not immune but it won't occur often I guess. Just like the others :D

It's no biggie anyway, because once you highlight the slider it snaps back to where it should be. And it doesn't happen very often.

I have just noticed a tuning bug.

I wasn't entirely convinced that the game was loading a tune for a specific car or track when one existed and I changed cars in quick race etc...

So I took the Exige S which I haven't yet driven. Bought full suspension and went to tuning.

I created 3 tunes which it was easy for me to identify from the telemetry page alone.

Tune 1 - Brands Hatch Indy
Set bump stop front & rear to max (30.00). In the telemetry this shows as a bump stop value of 3.0cm

Tune 2 - BRands Hatch GP
default except changed from ride height to 0 and rear to max
in the telemetry this shows as 6.5(ish) and 13.5(ish)cm

Tune 3 - Silverstone Bridge
Reverse of Tune 2.

I then changed to a different car, entered a Quick race.

Finally I change to the exige from the quick race menu and enter the 3 circuits I have saved the settings for and check the telemetry on each

Tune 2 & Tune 3 (the ride height adjustments) were the ones I saved but...

The bump stop value was showing as 1.0cm in the telemetry. I selected each circuit & checked the telemetry again to be sure.

So then I go to the tuning menu load the Brands Indy tune and the values are as I saved them - 30.00, so I go to test & Telemetry shows 3.0cm for bump stops.

coming out of the test on the setup summary page it shows bump stop values as 10.00 (?) so I go to edit & they are set as 30.00 wtf?) accept & summary page shows 30.00 again - save to brands GP again just to be sure.

Go to Quick race Brands Indy & check telemetry & this time it shows as the expected 3.0cm

I was very careful with the steps - has anyone else noticed weird unexpected results like these?

Hi, yes I have noticed: what seams to be an issue, but I also find it has not affected the setup.

The only issue i get annoyed with is, testing the tune, then using the tune on the same track can show far different results. ie what was a good brake setting is now impaired within the race.
