Why? Three reasons...

1.) My Dad just purchased a 2001 Harley Davidson FXDWG2 Dyna Wide Glide Custom. Tomorrow he's going to borrow a friend's enclosed motorcycle trailer, and Monday morning he's driving up to Iowa to pick 'er up. I never thought he'd buy a Harley, especially since a few weeks ago he was looking into getting a BMW K1200RS, but damn... this bike is absolutely awesome. Its seat is made from Ostrich leather.:odd: I'll post the pictures from the ebay auction for now, but when he gets back with it you can bet your ass I'll take more pictures.:D

2.) I get his '01 929RR for free. He said he's done with crotch rockets for good. All I had to do was promise him I wouldn't kill myself on it. Easy enough, eh?:P I'm going to try and trade/sell it for an '03 R6 as soon as possible, though. The 929 is way too god damn fast for me. I get scared everytime I start it. Plus its throttle is waaay too touchy. It's nothing but trouble.

3.) His divorce with my stepmom, or ex-stepmom now, was finalized today. This is the main reason why today is the best day ever. The very first day I met her I told her their marriage would not last, and she always disagreed with me. Looks like I was right, *****.:mischievous: Pretty soon my mom is going to be moving down here, and they're getting back together. I've waited like 6-7 years for this.:(

Hope your day was as good as mine! -Josh

Oh, okay.

I posted this because I'm happy for my dad, and because I'm excited that I'm getting closer to owning an R6. Plus I'm excited because it will be the first HD I've ever ridden. I'm not here to throw random dollar amounts in your face, and promise you pictures of something only to not deliver.

I don't think it's really as small as it looks. The front wheel is pretty damn big so it looks small in comparison.

But it looks small in comparison to the rears.

Yeah, I know. I honestly don't know why it's like that, though. On damn near every sportbike I've ever seen/ridden the front brake was considerably larger than the rear. It makes sense seeing as how most of your braking is done with the front brake. Why it's different on this bike, though, is beyond me. Maybe it's different for these types of bikes?

Maybe the reason for the smaller break in front is so you dont flip over the handel bars like on a Bicycle. You know when your going really fast and you hit only the front brake and the front tire gets so much grip it stops instead of slowing down or skidding, flipping you off the seat and over the handle bars (from experience  )?...

Did that once. Very painful.:banghead:

I hate you Josh. I hate you, and you know why. :irked: ;)

Of course if I was you, I'd be screaming it from a top of a mountain too!

i dunno I like R6's but maybee go for an R1....my neighbor has a Suzuki Hayabusa GSXR_those are nice too...

Don't get me wrong, I love R1's just as much as the next guy, but I would kill myself on one in less than a week, and I know it. I would much rather play it safe, get the R6, and work my way up to an R1 at a later point in time.

Yeah, Hayabusa's are nice, but they're pretty much only for straight-line. They're like 560 pounds, or something, dry weight, and they're humongous. I'd much rather have a R6 weighing in at 360 or so pounds. If I ever feel like dominating every bike at the drag strip, you can bet your ass I'll be on a modded 'Busa.:P

Ah, sorry.:D I didn't want yo to read that part.;)

I want to get the R6 as soon as possible, but it will probably be a while. Probably a few months, at least. I'm in no real hurry to get rid of the 929. Plus I would have to ask my dad before I sold/traded it, and I don't know what he would say. I'm not looking foward to asking him - at all.

Anyhoo...

I haven't talked to my dad at all today, but his plans were to call the guy at around 9:00, meet up with him, ride the bike a bit, load it up in the trailer, call the bank and get the money transferred over to that guy's account, then get the title changed over, and be back on the road by 10:30 or so. So if it all went as planned, he should be on his way back right now. I'm sooo excited, and I just can't hiiide it...er, sorry.:P
