can you guys please help me out, i cant figure out to do in photoshop to make the picture look better.... or how to get that TRUE HDR image without having it looking overdone and 'patchy'...

Thanks!

@ N99GT- im not up to the same standard as some of the others in here but for a start I use Photomatix Pro 4.1.1 to make the HDR. It has many many options to tone down or enhance every aspect of the HDR. From tone mapping to exposure fusion and a range of sliders and parameters to play with to get the perfect look your after.
I then move to photoshop to add colour filters, curves, dodge and burn etc.

I had the same problem, to fix that open the photo you exported from GT in photoshop and dont do anything to it yet, just re-save it as a jpeg and re-name it.
Do this for each bracketed photo, then you have a copy direct from photoshop, these will open in Photomatix now with out crashing, and should make a great HDR.

You don't need to open the images in Photoshop first ;)
Save them from the PS3 to a USB Stick and open the images in Photomatix ;)

I have no error messages in photomatix.....
