In photography, the whole idea behind HDR images is to capture the range of light and tones that the human eye can see or create a truly visceral and dramatic image with LOTS of contrast.

There's some good stuff here but I've also seen some that are so flat they have almost no texture left at all (not trying to be rude).

That being said this is my idea of an HDR image (It is also an AD submission for the current 3.0 unlimited photocomp). It is composed of three images. One at +3EV, one at 0EV, and one at -3EV.

The main idea was to keep the sky from being totally blown out and missing the nice sunset but keep details in the car visible.

I leave it to you for an up or down vote ;)

 
Very nice work Chris, realistic HDR the way I like it 👍 The first one with the Ferrari F1 is really superb 👍
