Hey thanks man, wow, I knew my pic was good, but not that good. Thanks man, I'd like to see some of ur pics.
I've been doin heaps of drifting in that car, and saving a few replays, its awesome fun.

Can someone tell me how to get rid of the transparancy after you blur? I had to manually clone the blurred transparancy It's pretty aparent once you take a closer look

Do you mean the crappy thing under the car?

Do it like this:

Step 1: Cut out the car nicely with the polygonal lasso tool (Paths tool in GIMP)
Step 2: Copy the selection and paste it into a new layer.
Step 3: Dumplicate the background layer 2x.
Step 4: Add a blur to the one dumplicated layer while adding a gaussian blur to the other one.

NOTE: You must have the layers in this order: (top to bottom) car only-blur layer-gaussian blurred-background.

Actually, a better way to do it is after you've added your motion/zoom/whatever blur, duplicate that layer 4 or 5 times, and then merge them all together. That way the blur doesn't go fuzzy around the edges of the car, and it's pretty seamless.

So, I decided to dig up a fairly old shot that up until now, I didn't want to attempt to clean up. It actually wasn't too bad, I've just found a different (read: better) way to clean pixels. Something a bit different for me...
