ya know, I hate to be a party pooper and discuss rules here, but isn't adding snow changing the geometry of a picture? maybe i'm just super tired.....

I didn't add anything to the photo, what I did is basically the same as adding noise but on a larger scale.

Nice effect mogs, I don't see anything wrong with your photo 'adjustments', very creative and well done.
If you want to be completely technical, both allowed tools (Blur/Sharpen and Smoothing/Smudging) change the geometry significantly. Also nowhere in the rules does it state that "you may not alter the geometry", although other comps use that rule.
Should be two more tight polls, great shots on this one so far.

Bram - Shouldn't you enter the LIGHT side with that pic? It has "light" all over it: the colours, the sun reflecting off the car's panels...

Nah, guess the only light things are the car and its rims, but for the rest I made that image pretty much to experiment with some layer blending modes to get out some strong shadows and dark colours 👍
BTW, nice signature on the image, is that your personal signature? I guess you imported it with one of those drawing boards that you can hook up on the PC?

Yeah, it's my short sig (don't know the proper name in English for it) that I use some times IRL.
Drew it on the Wacom Bamboo (the large one) that I bought about a year ago or so.
It's an awesome thing to use. Awkward at first, but after that, you use it just like a regular pen on paper or brush on canvas. 👍

Hell yeah! Watch out with over-dodging though, that side of the car is in shadows so the sun wouldn't lit it up so much like that. But the angle and action is extreme, what an entry! 👍

Thanks for the heads up Bram. I thought it should be lit a little bit, but I went overboard and my computer freaked during my edit. I was lucky to get it where it is. It was done for the last tourney, but it was a reject. So it ends up here.
