Figured I'd post a hello to all at GTP, I have posted a couple of times already looking for some information etc and as I remembered people where quick to come forward with replies and even gifts (special thanks to SUV for all the gifts).
I've been playing racing sims for a few years now first started properly with GT5 Prologue starting out with the pad and trying to race like a demon with the pad, found GTP back then and learnt that being a little aggressive like I was was not the ideal way to drive. Learnt and improved my driving so much because of this site. Invested in numerous wheels like the DFGT and a couple of G25's and the A1 GP playseat. Took part in a few events and enjoyed my time.
Then the PS3 died, I got married had a kid and was persuaded to move over to Forza and the XBOX where I enjoyed my time in Forza 3 and 4, by now I had made the switch to Fanatec (very good wheel and customer services who have replaced my wheels and pedals whenever a fault has happened).
Now that Microsoft have put some distance between themselves and Fanatec I decided a move back to GT series should happen, that and not being prepared to spunk out on a XBOX One, Forza 5 and new racing wheel set up (can't drive with a pad - besides when you make the move to a wheel you don't want to go back to a pad).
My health is a bit up and down so racing can be a bit interrupted but when I do race it brings the smiles to my face and the wife knows to book an appointment for a face to face
It's been 16 days on the game since I got hold of a PS3 and the game and have been trying to get on as much as possible to get into the swing of it ready for GT6. Got the B-Spec out of the way apart from career award, now moved on to doing some seasonals/special events as I try to learn the tracks and figure out the tuning (already made a couple of set ups) over again. Obviously some are similar to what I've been driving over on Forza with just minor differences, may take some time to get up to speed but when and if I do hope to take part in some GTP events etc.
FR are most welcome and maybe in the not to distant future I can be a productive member of the site.
Cheers Bee
