hello all,
im new and i just thought i should say hi
i've been playing GT3 since the first time it came out
last year, i got myself a logitech steering wheel+pedal.
since then, i've been drifting all over the place
and yes i also drift in real life.. i dont drift in public roads because its stupid.. i go to drift events
i've also been autocrossing for 3 years now.
i drive a 1991 240sx coupe (www.conetoy.com)
enough about me now lets talk about GT3

here's the first video i made last year (i sucked big time back then)

im in the process of making a new video but my video card (S-video input) decided to gave up on me..
so now im looking for an alternative way to capture some of the footages from my memory card. do you guys have any ideas?

anyhow..
nice to meet you all
peace

Very nice. It looks like you're using big horsepower cars, and probably using T7's, T8's, right? Just a suggestion: Try lower HP cars, nothing more than 300 HP, on simulation tires. You're just taking away from your own skill if you don't. Besides that, very nice video, I see you got the wheel, like myself, so the drifts come out nice and smooth. But try an AE86, Simulation tires, turn the ASM and TCS off, and try drifting like that, that's where true skill shines.

thanks for the comments guys
the song? t.a.t.u - all the things she said (russian version)

low HP cars with sims tires?
okay i'll do that
i do have an AE86 <300hp but i dont use sims tires
i might want to start and try that
thanks for the inputs

Yeah, it makes drifts seem alot smoother, and you can hold them out for a while, and I almost forget.

Welcome to GTP! :)

Welcome to
gtp.gif
! I haven't downloaded the video yet because I'm currently downloading several other things, but I'll give some more feedback when I do.

do you have any other suggestions for a newbie like me?
i dont know the standards of drifting here in GTplanet
do you have any good gt3 video that i can download and learn from?

I suggest looking in the video section of the main site..lemme find the URL..theres a video called "Gran Dorifto 2" by CudaMan, hes the best around here..lemme find the url for it..

nice clean run!
i like it a lot!
im gonna post more videos once i get everything fixed

oh yea btw... i just realized that there are teams and drift battles...

how does that work? i read the threads about em n stuff but im kinda slow...so i guess i have to read em again

Basically, in a nut shell:
A person challenges another person.
Both people send in a video of their run a set course, sometimes set restrictions, and so on.
A pre-set (always the same) panel of judges judge the videos based on Angel, Smoke, Style, etc, etc..
They then decide who wins and post the videos for public viewing.

Also: Teams are (As I know, sorry if I leave one or two out):
Monkey D- Lead by Battle_Stage
Team Slideshow- Lead by (I'm not sure)
Project D- Lead by SupraFly
4.W.D- lead by Ryen49 (I think this team is done now...)
Team Zaku (Or something, just got started today)- Lead by anime drifter.

Now its time for sleep. Andrew out.

he did....lol
like the first min of the video was driftin/ass dragging a FF, then the rest of it was driftin a bunch of his cars on sims (except for the F1 car)
