Long-time lurker here.

Been lurking on GTP since October 2010 or thereabouts, playing GT5 since it came out on a regular DS3 controller. Been playing Gran Turismo since GT3, with my first car in that game being the 1995 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo.

I usually play GT5 online on Saturday nights around 2200 (10 PM) Eastern. Me and a few other people on GameFAQS run races every week with various vehicle restrictions. This past Saturday a few guys who run NASCAR races on Sundays invited me to join their club, so I raced with them last night. I led for roughly 20 of the first 25 laps until my tires went off the cliff, eventually finishing 8 laps back. It wasn't easy, but it was fun and I'll definitely be joining again next Sunday.

I'm looking forward to meeting new people to race against, and hopefully learn enough about tuning cars to be competitive in future online races.

I'd like to apologize in advance to anyone confused by any military jargon and acronyms I may use in the future, including writing times in 24-hour time instead of 12-hour time. I was in the US Army for 6 years and went to Iraq twice, and while I may be out of the Army the Army isn't completely out of me.

And one last thing, I'm a bit of a humorist, as can be seen in my choice of avatar and signature, so expect silly jokes from me from time to time. :P Hopefully the Powers That Be on this board won't frown too heavily upon me occasionally referring to the country to which I was deployed twice as "the Iraq and such as" in jest.

Did I mention that I tend to ramble on occasion?
