Help can`t find friends!!!

HI ALL !!! SORRY KINDA NEW TO THIS ,SO PLEASE BEAR WITH ME !!! IV`E BEEN PLAYING GT5 FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS NO WITH OVER 1,200 CAR IN MY GARAGE,ALTHOUGH I`M NOT HERE TO BRAG !! LOL MY PROBLEM IS ADDING FRIENDS TO GT5 ,IV`E ADDED JUST ONE ATM WHICH I CAN SEE THAT IS ONLINE ON PS3,BUT ONCE I LOG IN TO GT,I CAN`T SEE HIM !! HE HA JUST BEEN ADDED,SO I DID THE NATURAL THING ,RESTARTED THE PS3 ,LOGGED BACK IN,WENT TO THE GARAGE TRIED TO SEND A CAR (AND YES THE ICON WAS OK TO SEND) BUT DID NOT SHOW UP ON MY FRIENDS LIST.NEXT THING I DID,GOT INTO COMMUNITY,BUT STILL NO FRIENDS ADDED !!!! CHECKED MY INTERNET CONNECTION,IT`S FINE ,RUNNING QUICK!! HARD WIRED TO PS3 ,SO I`VE ELIMINATED THAT BEING SOME SORT OF PROBLEM,CHECK MY SETTING IN "my lounge"SEEMS ALL GOOD+ ON TOP OF ALL THAT,RESTARTED THE SYSTEM A COUPLE OF TIMES ,AS WELL AS RESTARTING GT5 !! DOES ANYONE SEEM TO HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM,NOT FINDING FRIENDS IN GT5 BUT ON THE PS3 MENU??? PLEASE HELP!!!

OK two things;

1) STOP SHOUTING WE CAN HEAR YOU!!!!!! (use lower case please )

2) Are you sure your friend has accepted the friend request? They wont show up until they accept the FR

Otherwise I have no suggestions.

Why can I never read upper case posts without imagining the person screaming at me in a drill sergeant fashion..

If I understand your problem (sorry to keep harping on about it but it really is quite difficult for me to read posts like this) you have friends in your friends list when you hit the PS button and scroll to friends, but they don't show up in your friends list?

When exactly did you add the person? because there can be a bit of a delay between them being added and them showing up in your community/profile tabs. Also I'd imagine the answer is yes but you didn't clarify it, has this person you've added played Gran Turismo?
Also are you getting your free Paint and museum cards when you log in? if not your problem may be that you're having difficulty connecting to the server.

hi and thanks for the quick reply!! nice to be here ,yes he has added me ,and accepted me,and messaged me lol,just does not show up anywhere in gt5,if i "send to friend in the garage" it shows the little clock symbol the same one when it`s loading,but even after 5 mins it doesn`t stop and shows nothing

sorry about the upper case guys first thread , yes my friend has played gt5 just a couple of times though,i get all the login bonuses ,could it be that maybe he hasn`t accepted me through the game,he has on ps network,does that make any sense to you??

Ahhhhh that's a little better now if we can get you to construct sentences with full stops and maybe even a paragraph it'll be perfect

That is a pretty weird problem and I can only suggest deleting him/her, wait 24 hrs for the Sony servers to clear down then re-add them. You might also try clearing your in game cache as well.

Maybe Urie has some other advice or at least I hope one of the other members can offer some other ideas.

How did you managed this caps-fest?

EDIT: If both have GT5 installed on their PS3 system and both are friends via PSN both should have access to each other ingame to gift a car or whatever.

But there is a difference between GT5 and GT5 Prologue - ingame FL not compatible!

yes we both have gt5 it`s weird i know,the only other thing i can can think off are some former accounts i had back with the b`day glitch,but i deleted them,so i only have one account.

Deleting them and re-adding them is the most viable option here.

If you've restarted the game and also the PS3 and there's still no change then there's a problem with the server synchronisation.

Delete them and try again, if that doesn't work get back to us and I'll look into it further.
These are just the tips I'm coming up with off the top of my head

sometimes when i log onto psn while in gt mode, im not connected to the server. in order to connect, i need to leave gt mode and go back. OR, maybe your internet is crap. that happened to me, but i got a ethernet cable and tada! im sorry, prbly none of these helped but thats all i know.
