HELP GOOgle chrome!!!

So my lil brother just got vista home secrity on my laptop and come to find out its a virus...

So i manged to get thie virus off my laptop but i now cant open safari or google chrome and im stuck using internet explorer...

So i removed google chrome and try reinstalling it but whenever i try to install it i get an error saying internet explorer stop runiing and then internet exploror crashes.

And i tried to open safari but it just acts like is ging to open the nothing happens.. I even tried opening it by and adminstator....

So i was wondering if anyone up here can help me because IE is very slow and crashes even when i try to open another tab.....

I have widows vista pentium duol core with 2.16ghz

And o another thing this message keeps oping up in windows help about my dep and i was never getting that before

And i tried even downloading it as a turrnt and it still dosent work

Sounds like the virus hasn't been completely evicted. Or it has, but it's left a messed up registry.

If I were you, I'd go out to a rental place and try to download another free browser to a USB stick and try to install it from there.

I going to try that cause nothing else seems to work.. is there a way for me to reset the registry to factory specs without reseeting the hole system???

You can have a program called CCleaner to clean up the registry(I don't think it will help much but it's worth a try).

Try running combofix.

I use it on my friends PCs when they get infected.

Then run SFC /Scannow in the command promopt(with admin privliges)

Then install Firefox with the adblock plus and adock popup addons.

These Fake antiviruses download more crap on to the PC. and i hope for your sake it in not the new fake anti viruses that hides your profile files

I cant press any buttons ... Never seen this before! Im currently using Firefox 4, but i think chrome was faster! Anyway, no ideias?

By buttons you mean the Post Quick Reply and Quote Buttons?

Could be a a css/php error on you computer. but it is hard just by that fault discription.

This is getting hard... ill try to simplify my explanation! I hit the quote button right? Then appears the "reply to thread" menu, and i cant post smilies, videos, pics, mainly anything inside that menu! Outside the box i can "submit reply" or "preview post" with no problems at all! I hope i make myself clearer!


EDIT: IE9 and firefox 4 work just fine!
