help me!! Why does my car do this??!

ive been trying to drift using this sites very helpful drift settings. but everytime i try, the car keep going out too far into the grass. can anyone explain what im doing wrong? itd be very helpful if u could

I'm not trying to be mean but it because you suck. You just gotta practice more that's all. Try making your own setup too.

what kind of car is it, and how much hp does it have?

down shift into the turn and the shift lock will bring the back end around and feather the throttle through the turn

practice makes perfect, its always the answer. if you keep trying eventually you will get it. why do you have so much hp? my 180hp AE86 drifts just as easily as my 375hp skyline.

You're probably going way to fast. Try entering the corner at a much slower speed. ppl who start out drifting often make that mistake, thinking the drift will allow them to take the turn like a roller coaster. I hope GT4 has gutters so we can do the takumi gutter drift

n00bs also make he mistake of using high power cars to start drifting with. It's much better to start with a lower hp.

the drift setting depot said i should have it at 338hp so i put it there

Start drifting the Trueno stock suspension and engine. Just add simulation tires and drift. You don't really have to use the drift settings in the drift settings depot. Just experiment. That's what drifting is about.

I've never even gone in the setting depot, and for good reason too. I've seen people post their setting in posts before and some drifters have such weird ass settings. It all depends on your preference and style. I'd start with a stock suspension and engine on sims, jsut as Thio said. Once you start to get the hang of that begin to modify little by little. I'd start with the suspension first. You don't need power to drift. Having actual tuning knowledge helps alot too. Learn how tweaking each part of your car with affect it's performance.

i wouldnt dare touch a setting from the depot (except my supra setting i posted in there) the rest are pretty darn freaky with their extreme anti-roll bar settings and different tires on the front-back for FR and AWD cars! lol its really a shame its up there...

thats way too much power. the AE86 is really light so with that much power no wonder you can't control it. max should be 200hp

lol my settings for all my drift cars are CRAP....all i do is drop them, change gears accordingly, and no TCS and ASM.

the AE86 is a hard car to start drifting with...u should start with a easier car like the FD. and u proly brake too late and going to fast.

Your car most probably does that cos its RED If you get a white one or a black one it will stick to the road regardless of settings i promise
