this game just made me break my controller.

No the graph for some of them is the complete opposite where 99.9% of people will be unable to get gold time example Nurburgring. Its always funny how this conversation happens the same across many different game genres. People always say the same that they had to suffer to accomplish something and since they had to everyone else has to.

If it isn't difficult to accomplish is it even an accomplishment?

Well no track is so narrow and on a racetrack as long as you have 2 wheels inside the limits you aren't out if bounds.

So I disagree with your point entirely.
Yeah, I know you do. You take turns at an 11, but these darn walls will only let you go up to a 10.

As for your point, Bathurst disagrees.

I said this in another thread but I think you'd need near-superhuman ability to do some of the circuit experiences with a controller. The Barcelona one was excruciatingly difficult with that perpetually-drifting Gr3 Lambo on a direct drive wheel, I can only imagine how comically difficult that would be on a controller.

I like how hard they've made them. There is something tantalising about something in a game actually being fundamentally past your (current) skill/ability. Cuphead, for example...I don't think I'll ever complete it on that extreme difficulty, but I'll keep coming back to it for that reason.

Have you tried it on a controller? Cars behave completely differently than with a wheel. There’s a persistent counter steer assist which can’t be turned off. Pros and cons.

Yes, the game is frustrating as hell. No matter how much the stans insist that it's realism, it isn't.

You broke a controller, I broke a wheel due to it. Good thing too, so I could spend the rest of the evening cooling off while I repaired it. Haven't gone back to the game since. F this ****, I've been playing everything else but GT7. Haven't even downloaded the latest update yet.

im trying to get gold on everything i can yet this game makes it near impossible to gold anything for me. all i get is bronze. try YouTube to find answers on certain things and no one gives settings or what they using controller/wheel. i might as well put myself in the hospital.
If youre breaking controllers over a racing sim I think you have things you need to work on outside of the game bro. I wish you well <3

The thing is, even once you achieve all the gold and the rewards, you realize it was a lot of time spent for basically nothing. I wish I hadn't bothered frankly and just played the more fun parts like racing with and against my wife or daughter.
You get cars you probably wouldn't have bought anyways and credits you can get playing the fun things.

Of course, not everything you accomplish in life is difficult. Spending time with family is accomplishing something and it's easier than some people think it is. It's perhaps the most important accomplishment.

The main reason for the increased difficulty on certain parts of the game is the fact that the makers of the steering wheels have given money to Sony and polyphony for development in exchange for the game making parts that require a more precise input method than the controller easily allows thereby promoting the sales of these products. It's a simple case of the companies being in bed together and doing what benefits them over what benefits the customers.

Gt2 done this to a younger me, I just point blank refused to accept I couldn't crack a gold, cable baddie as well so it got the full lasso treatment before it shattered everywhere. Just sat like an utter toolbag counting the bits after it, learned a few things that day and not all about Gran Turismo 🤣

Turn on the demo ghost, do your best to establish a reference. Switch the demo ghost off, turn your own best time ghost and set it’s offset by the amount you want to gain. Do your best to pass it and keep doing that until you get gold.

When it comes to assists I can't say much because all I use is ABS at Default and TC at 1, all the rest I leave off. But I’m using a wheel.

the game made me due it.
THAT is the first and THE most important step in my eyes. If YOU really want it, then YOU can do it, the will is the beginning of everything... now YOU have to find out where YOUR problems with the cars and on the tracks are.

I assume you try to drive your own way and keep making the same mistakes (careful, that's okay, we all make mistakes), YOU have to work on that. It always helps me to look closely at the demo ghost to see what it's doing where and how. even the smallest details can be decisive... When does he accelerate how much, at what speed does he take a corner, when does he brake and so on. Sometimes it's only 1-2 km/h that separates you from the pro, but that means you can't make a turn.

Edit: How are we supposed to know exactly what your problems are? we would have to see how you drive!

Im done with this game for the time being

I'm gonna be honest here. You trying to get revenge is really childish.

Plus, look at you. You actually wrecked your controller because of a game. I'm not going to be a therapist, but it all starts with you.

Chill.
are you going to legitimately help or not?
