this game just made me break my controller.

I'm not trying to brag but got gold on S10 in half an hour, just know how to stay in the dry and you will get it. I had some harder licenses, for example the one on Le Mans with the Nissan R390.
LeMans I had everything on gold in about 30-40 minutes, but S10 took me 2 hours or more, but I also did S10 2-3 days after the game came out. Some things are sooo different.. I'm currently really busy with the windmill offroad.

It seems like PD have set these target times at around low DR A/high DR B pace, players with lower ratings can still hit the times but it's more of a grind, that's the whole point to make it a challenge but much more accessible than the Hamilton time trials on GTS. Don't worry if you can't hit gold on them all, it's not game breaking and their are other ways which are just as good for making money since the latest update.
like what exactly? what is the best, easiest and fastest way to make millions in a day?

Take a breather if you exhausted yourself after an hour of failing. I usually do that and when I come back I found myself getting better. Just calm down and try to enjoy them.

The WTC 600 using the Tomahawk is probably the fastest and best way right now.

The Tomahawk with the glitched setup at Tokyo for 825k in under 20 minutes, the circuit experience pays more for single laps but the more attempts it takes to do the lower the money per minute gets.

I'll be honest any missions on Tokyo expressway that insta fail you if you clip a wall or mobile roadblock ...

These are freakishly rage inducing!

which tomahawk?

And there is the problem - it's a game. A game that everyone has paid equal money for and therefore should have an equal chance of gaining all the rewards. This isn't real life GT such as the Academy where you are fighting for a life changing win. A game should bring joy and pleasure, not drive some one to the brink of fury to smash their own property!
Gran Turismo 2-3-4 License tests would like to have a word with you.

Oh yes.... I remember those a real PITA...
actually got in an argument with Kie25 over whether compulsory licence tests were a good idea...
at least we now have pretty pictures to look at😼

It’s about right I think. Even though I spent three hours doing catalunya, I got silver easily and I just kept going and going because I knew I could do it. And when I didn’t it was because I made a mistake. It also achieved the point of the whole thing which was to learn a track well.
I’ve got no need or entitlement to get gold. I could have earned the money a lot quicker doing events and nothing is locked behind getting gold. Some games are just hard but progress isn’t blocked like it would be in a dark souls game for instance.

I’d caveat that deep forest sector 2 and le man’s sector 5 are beyond difficult and just broken imo.

thats funny, animal crossing lmao. who doesn't get mad or upset when they fail their goal? i will eventually get it but i can have emotions like any human. its my body, mind and property so ill do what i please.
absolutely; you can indeed do as you please.
But you express yourself in a forum so do expect to get some responses you might not like.

you are here writing about breaking your controller and saying silly things like 'i might as well put myself in the hospital'. That to me implies that you might have a small problem controlling your emotions when playing this game? if so, then the game is not the problem, the controller is not the problem and this forum is not the problem. Yo you will need to work harder and try to control yourself.

mind you, i have broken the odd controller back in the day. It has tought me that
1)getting a tantrum over a videogame makes me look silly,
2) it is also expensive!
3) and your spouse will look at you with disapointment.

also; my wive has been playing Animal Crossing since it's release (nerd alert!) and is yet to break a single piece of equipment...so i stand by my inital advise. it seems to be a zen like experience...

Now i am going to try to find 0.024 seconds and finally get gold on that damn license test. good luck with yours!

If you've got the money to buy a Suzuki Swift Sport Gr4.
Buy it
Then buy Inters for it and a medium RPM turbo kit
Use these settings
Enter the Circuit De La Sarthe WTC 700
Which is an event that mainly has Group 4 cars that race at Le Mans for 30minutes.
If you drive cleanly and its very easy you can get 825,000cr.

And use this video as guide,

I think you can get the clean race bonus even if you hit the AI as in my last race, I T-Boned a Viper that spun out in the rain and I still got the bonus.
You're only real threat in this race is Blazan who also uses a Suzuki Swift Sport Gr4 who can match you for fuel economy.

Your wife is better tempered than mine. The names she calls Tom Nook!
oh yeah, forgot about that character. so maybe calling the game experience 'zen' was a bit to much...
She hates that raccoon so much that she now considers to support clubbing real raccoon dogs for fur. :D

just for fun google the term 'kill tom nook', your wife and mine are not the only ones out there....

How do you create a racing game where the success and rewards are not based on skill?

Don't sweat it - take a break from it and just take your time.

I play on controller too ... golded all licenses including S10 within 4 days of release.

It was a case of patience and perseverance.

If you haven't already - keep playing through the menu books. I felt that using the variety of cars you have to use on the menu books got me more used to driving the different car types that licenses throw at you.

If it helps... the circuit experiences are certainly harder across the board than the licenses I would say (on par with S10). They have been added in with the big credit bonuses because they are more challenging and "grindy".

I think they should make it the same difficulty as GT Sport Circuit Experiences

The bronze times are there for the vast majority to pass quite easily.
The gold are for the truly dedicated, it’s always been that way in Gran Turismo.
Not really the times for gold in gt sport were quite easy and I wish they were the same in this game

No, I think most would agree that they are better now because they are more challenging..

GTS was way too easy, I got all the tasks in GTS to gold on a long Saturday and Sunday, there wasn't anything that was really challenging... 1-2 attempts at gold for most tasks others went straight to silver and after few tries on gold... That wasn't really difficult.

Now it's the case that you really have to think about what's causing it if it doesn't work.. and then you have to work on it.

I think PD have done a great job at making the single player a rewarding and 'educational' experience... With the different cars and circuit completion requirements, it really is a case of "git gud". I spent a inordinate amount of time on sector 3 of High Speed Ring in the Zonda last night, for example. When I nailed it, it felt so so good and I knew I'd learnt something. It wasn't a fluke.

I think the key takeaway is that nothing is subject to any gatekeeping, (apart from the slightly unfortunate GTO/Race A situation this week) and the rewards are simply extras, decorations for your mantlepiece, if you will.

At least you get remunerated for your efforts! Plenty games out there are like "victory IS the reward"

world circuit experience and licenses. ill be happy if someone just did it for me. i don't want to challenge myself in this game unless its a legit race. all this side stuff i want done.

So you don't want to challenge yourself, but you want all golds? Hmm... can't really have one without the other ol' chap...

I'm on controller and have gained a few golds on the circuit exp. (only tried the nordschleife one so far) so it's easily reachable.

Circuit experience is not some random challenge mode that you pursue to get money or medals (that's just a bonus). It's there to teach you how to master your racecraft and to find high levels of consistency and speed. And I'm sorry to say it, but if you can't set gold on any of them then perhaps you're not skilled enough just yet. Learning how to drive a racecar on a technical piece of road is not easy and you need to work on fundamental stuff before you even try to attempt to push the limits. If you are struggling this much I suggest that you finish all the license tests first and foremost. The S license for instance is easier than the circuit experiences (with the exception of the last one perhaps) so it's a good indication of your current level. After that you just need to drive a lot until certain concepts start to click and you can really push it. It takes time and the more you try to bruteforce it the more it will cause you pain and frustration.

I usually do a few more runs after I get gold on each sector, doing this helps me get gold relatively quickly on the full lap.

The demonstration gives us pretty much all the info we need too. These are not alien times.
