I haven't heard of anyone beating the Escudo up Pikes Peak with anything other than the Cultus or the Escudo itself. I tried for hours to race with the FTO LM and del Sol Lm, but I wasn't even close. I think the Suzuki Cultus PP took me about 15-20 tries to beat the Escudo, and it's a good challenge.
There's a couple of fast GT2 players from the past that may have done it, but I haven't bumped into any thread here or elsewhere by anyone admitting to doing it.
I like having the ghost on translucent, so I can see the corners coming up.
I beat them with the RS200...
Though I didn't do it first time...
I want proof, Famine. No way you beat it with a normal RS200
Here's the thread i started on this topic years ago.

I agree with Parnelli, I think that the only likely way you are going to win on the two last pikes peak races is if you bought one of the 'pikes peak' suzuki racing specials. you would think its kind of an obvious choice, no?
This sounds interesting Shame that I never knew what the GT3 PD Cup is. What you've just described, is it something like that? If it is, then you're my kind of person
The PD Cup was a 10-race series of 20-lap races on road tracks with road cars. Unmodified road cars at that...
In essence, yes, the challenge was to beat it in the worst car you could (I also had a challenge for GT3 called "Worst Car Wins", which was the reason I joined GTP in the first place ). I went one further and tried to do it with a FWD car. And it wasn't easy!
My times for this should still be available at GTTimes.com...
GTX is back up.It's a shame Kenji's site is no longer up. I read alot of the old posts there while it was still Gran Turismo Forum, and learned alot. But it is no longer around, apparently. At least, I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
