:)Sorry about the caps, now I know better. Anyway about first lap at S7 Fuji, I remember first lap around .10 to .12 range be really aggressive take as many spots early as possible,if not the front 4 or 5 cars will break away and you'll have no shot.

YES!!! I cleared first S-10 and then S-7 last night. Was still struggling a bit with S-10 so I set the Traction Control from Off to 2 and that helped me quite a bit. I bronzed S-10 and silvered S-7. I was in the clear by about the 3rd lap on both of them and you've never seen someone drive SO cautious in your life to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. I think I was upsetting the poor AI cars behind me. :)

The scary part was that right after I completed them, I went online to the 750PP Suzuka event. Given that I had been racing in Standard Physics with 725PP, the first few laps online were needless to say a great big adventure. But I finally calmed down and drove Dragonistics tuned Vette with some success.

I finished 8 S class events yesterday...
I unlocked S and only have been going online.

I used the Clio above and got a Gold in S-7 and a Sliver in S-10

Tuned Skyline coupe is a good car for S class at the start gave me some golds 👍

I've been trying S-10 with the GT40 LM spec. I was just about to give up with it until I saw a post from someone saying to turn the ASM off. I usually drive without the traction control & didn't even think about switching ASM off.
Well, I just tried s-10 now without ASM & got gold first time!! The GT is so much more responsive out of the corners without ASM it's unbelievable.

Hope this helps anyone struggling with S-10 :)

A little reminder to those still trying for gold in S7 or S10...

Starting lineup matters alot. A lineup with slower cars starting in front makes gold alot easier.

I have gotten gold in both races many times both pre-update and post-update, but never if a GT LM starts in front. Sometimes I am in the lead by lap 3 with a "perfect" lineup.

I found S7 simple enough, but S10 is trickier.... does anyone else think the movement of the AI cars is rubbish? They're fast, but its almost as if they are on rails - if you slow down too much you get hit rather than overtaken.

The AI cars definately don't give you room to race. But usually if you get inside them on the turn they won't slam you coming off the turn. However if you try to go to the outside you will get hammered every time. And you'll get a penalty when you turn in to try to stay on track.

So against the AI I use drafting, bump and run, and outbraking. Obvious of course, but it wasn't obvious to me when I was wasting hours trying to get better than a 5th place finish on both races.

thanks drbimmer for the clio tune, gold on S-7 on my first attempt. this tune suits a really thrashy, aggresive style of driving. on my first attempt on S-10 however, 10th. but my fith lap was 1:59.8. so i`m sure i`ll get it soon...

i keep restarting to try to avoid the ford GT LM in S-10, but it is always there! i`ve restarted about 20 times, and yes, i have come right out of the events menu each time. anyone else finding this?...

Yes the Clio tolerates overdriving the corners better than any of the non-4WD cars in the game. It seems to slide all 4 tires which is easier to recover from. If you're hitting sub 2:00 then you will clear this event easy with the right lineup. Just remember "slow down to go fast". ;)

And yes it does seem like there is always a GT LM in the top 3 in the linup, but keep trying and one of these times both LMs will be 6th or lower and then you're good for gold. 👍

I used the Ford GT LM and got Bronze in S7 and S10....

Actually I tried most of the cars, but it was the nearest to get a medal all the way...

MUST use all the downforce available to control this tail happy car...

whatever combination of weight and power you decide on, can do the job...

this car has the best engine ever

Cheers guys

MUST use all the downforce available to control this tail happy car...

I set aero to minimum values and use suspension and driving technique to control the car. I prefer the extra power over the extra downforce. I'm not particularly good, but I cruised to easy gold in S7 and S10 with the GT LM set up that way.

Finally S-7 is in the past...I finally got it done with a silver medal. Thanks Spy about your advice with using the slipstream to the max and being more gentle in the corners. For anyone interested here is the tune that finally worked for me.

Awesome setup. After buying the Elise 111r tuned, the LM GT Test Car and the Mines Skyline and failing on S7 and S10 endlessly I went back to my Clio with these settings and easily cleared S7 and S10 with Bronze, Silver or Gold is attainable with better driving or Pro physics. I did it with Standard after only 2 tries each. Thanks again. Now to save up the 2 million for the F2007. Wish I hadn't bought all those other cars, I would have the F2007 by now.

The F2007 is cool, but not as much fun to drive as you might think. At least it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be.

I just got gold in s3 on my 3rd lap.
s9 is easy I do that all the time with a ferrari f430. On a good run you can pass the 1st place person on the 3rd lap.
Ive never even done the other s races yet, because Ive been away from this game for months, but just started playing again yesterday.

Here's an ideal,go ahead & start on S10 now. If you are like a lot of folks this one will be the toughest. You can find a great many good setups, some of them in this thread. GOOD LUCK.:)

hi guys i just went back onto s-7 for fun as i passed it ages ago with bronze . tried settings for clio, great tune i was 1st by end of lap 2 and crossed finish line before second had even got onto the straight, was great fun to drive felt like a go kart .

Alright, I finally did it with this car & settings so it does work. I'll settle with the Silver & it took me three tries to do it, I had the Gold by the last lap but got careless & cut the course twice & wound up 5th during my second race. :dunce:

I wasn't sure if the recent updates might have something to do with the overall car control but regardless I'm happy.

Thanks & onward to S-10!

I have posted S10 tunes for most the cars that can beat it in my S-class tunes thread in the tuner forum. These tunes also work well for S7. I destroyed S7 with the S2000 tune, winning by 13 seconds.

Hello all,

I've won S-7 without a problem and am stunned by the trouble a lot of you were having with it, however, S-10 is a different story and I just cannot win it, or end in the top 3. I've tried with different setups on different cars (Ford GT Spec II LM Test Car, Clio Tuned, Mine's 34) does anyone have a suggestion? I've tried setups from these forums but still my cars just aren't fast enough to get past like the first 8 competitors (and those 8 were already exclusive, most of the time I get to overtake just the first 4 in the first lap and then at the end of the 2nd and 3rd lap nothing in the standings has changed).

Last thing I tried was the Tuned Clio (byebye 100k :P) with these settings:

final - 4.246

P.S. I'm ofcourse running spec III
