OK, perhaps I'm blind, but where are you guys finding these "Advanced Steering Controls" options? I've scrolled through all the menus, options, setup, audio, visual, you name it. I still can't find these anywhere on the PS3 version.

Hmm, telemetry showing data that's not happening on screen really screws up the telemetry.
What else is the telemetry showing that's not happening on screen.

I am focusing on the 4 tire readouts. I see the effect my steering input is having on the tires immediately via the little lines that jump around showing weight transfer. The problem is that the car hasn't moved yet - there is a half second lag between.

At first I thought it was a deadzone or sensitivity setting, but after testing I am pretty sure it isn't. With the deadzone set to 0 I should be able to move the analog stick slightly and the car should move - period. And adjusting sensitivity seems to apply a curve that multiplies the input itself. There is nothing left for me to tweak (I tuned the car to be very responsive also) so I am left wondering if a little lag is just part of the gameplay or maybe there is a problem.

I have heard about input lag in Killzone 2 and how it was improved in Killzone 3 (see here). They used a PS3 latency controller monitor board so this type of thing can be measured. If lag is an issue in a FPS then it is doubly so in a racing game.

You've got to hit the R1 button while on the controller mapping screen.

I have no inputlag what so ever! PS3 and 40" LCD.
The game is really good to drive, i have a handcontroll and elite mode. i have sens.settings on 10 and 3 on deadzon steering. throttle and breakes are on 5 sens and 0 deadzone...the rest is dealt in tuning of the car. I enjoy the Lamborghini now alot though hard, the Audi S3 is REALLY great to play!

Friend brought this over last night along with his G25 and we tested both wheels. Seems that there is a lot of input lag, the game also kept resetting the steering ratios to 360/300 everytime we set it to 900. On top of that the game seems to do some crazy countersteering thing which means if you have been playing any sims or decent physics games you will end up countersteering off the track. Don't even get me started on the drifting

Not impressed with the wheel support to be honest, the game is a waste of money and i don't think i will buy it. I played the PC version

Well, don't i feel duped?

Messed around with both the TV (new model Sony 46", has no trouble with lag on any game I own) and the in-game controller settings (DS3) and i still have to phone in my steering intentions a few minutes before I reach a corner.

How? Why?

Unplayable. Straight out of the box and unplayable.

Nice one guys. Test much?

If you get the in-game controller settings down it helps a lot. Sucks that they don't work out of the box, but **** happens.

If you're still having problems, try buying adjustable suspension for your car and turning the toe settings way down. It makes the responses much sharper, normal road cars are set up for stability which is not what you want. You may also want to tinker with the caster, but I haven't had much of a chance to fiddle with that yet. Technically it should help.

Yes, it's a shame that you need to do this to get the game to work how you want it to, but some parts of the game are good enough that it's worth it IMO.
