Ok, normally i'm great at this sort of stuff, but this is where my talents end.

I'm signed up with Tiscali broadband, and every month they give me free gifts, or money off stuff. And, their free stuff is pretty lame. Cheap microphones and rubbish cds. But, there are plenty of money off things to spend my delightful cash on. And, i spotted some surround sound systems, Cheap suff mind, but still, i liked the look of them.

So, will any of these, work with my PS2, without separate decoders?

👎 to all ...

If you have 240 volt outlets, I guess I'd go for option #1 ... If not, then option #2 ...

The Logitech or Creative ...

Can't say I have much experience with Creative systems, but plenty of experience with Logitech systems. Most of their systems sound decent, but generally need a lot of EQing to sound good (a lot of large peaks and valleys in frequency response, especially in the midbass, midrange, and lower treble ... Sub = Meh for quality, although very capable of getting loud ... Unfortunately, most Logitech subs I've heard don't get very low and I wouldn't call them true subwoofers considering output rolls-off significantly below 90 Hz (sub-bass is considered 60 Hz and lower) ... Fortunately, most of Logitech's systems are at least well-built and, again, can sound good with some EQ work ...

Jmac, what he's asking is whether or not he'll need a decoder to use those speaker setups with his PS2.

Phat: From my knowledge i found you do have to have a separate decoder. I'd say get a set of £50 at least speakers. You won't get enough quality out of those you've shown i wouldn't have thought.

Hooray!! I've managed to get them work with my tv now, and they are superb with a bit of tuning!
Now, if i could just get these usb drives to work ...
