what does everybody use to take pictures on their computers?i see people post pictures of their desktops and sites they were on but i dont know how.

I believe that you can press "print screen" and that saves the screen image. Then you can open it up in Microsoft Paint by pressing "CTRL V"

Ahhh, crap, I can't remember.

Yes, that's correct. You don't have to use just MS Paint. You can use any photo editor.

I was right?

YAY me!

I didn't know that you could open it up in other programs. Photoshop? I'll have to try it out.

Thanks.

Yes, by pressing Print Screen on your kb, youre actually copying it to your clipboard, you can open Paint and then paste it, i dont think this works with PS however...well it doesnt work in V7 thats for sure (unless i am doing something wrong)

Indeed. Using the PrintScreen function creates a Windows Bitmap image, which is placed on the clipboard. Any graphics program that can create a new image from the clipboard contents can receive your image. Do bear in mind that Windows Bitmap files are extremely large. Also, if you're saving screenshots of things like applications (as opposed to, say a window showing a photograph), you'll find that the GIF format is more effective at artefact-free compression.
