High-powered drift

I don't usually use high powered cars since it narrows the possible techniques you can use. But sometimes i drive some JGTC cars, maybe skylines and the 300SX 2+2.

Well, usually "drifting" with high hp cars is just really powersliding instead of a more "true" form of drifting...but still, sliding with a beast really is fun =)

this is a very debateable subject, but i dont apply power in a drift until the car has clearly lost traction on all 4 wheels. in fact my car seems to be balanced well enough that when i approach a corner, even if i dont steer and just brake, the car will follow the camber of the road and lose traction + begin the drift almost entirely on its own. then its just a matter of waiting till your back is far enough around to apply the power and stop u flying into the sand.

high HP cars are much easier for beginners to learn on, true. all you need to do is go round a corner like normal and floor it, then the back will slide out (even if u have traction control on, as i do).

but just because a car is good for newbies doesn't mean it can't be good for pros...

having said that, whenever my friends try to drive my car they find it too powerful and get into all sorts of trouble. but they can't drift to save their lives with ANY car... so maybe they aren't a good example. :D
