I'd do 50 laps if we had tyre wear. It'd take only a bit over an hour.

PS- To who ever suggested online 24hr races, no way, even with 4 drivers in 1 car if that is digitally possible, it would be 6hrs each! I would settle at a 1000km race at any track, with one co-driver.

And yet the person starting 12th every race (me more often than not) has an 11sec defecit and traffic to overcome. He could run the fastest race the world has ever seen and still have a crappy time.
 
^ very true, yesterday was the first time I had to deal with races that had upwards of 12 people and starting at the very back of the pack. By about the third lap I was normally within the top 4 to 6 people and at that point is where some hack would punt me. There was nothing that I could do. I still think it is possible to get into the mid 6'10s starting at the back of the pack though. You are starting with a bigger disadvantage time wise, but no more then 10 seconds I believe. I will check that when I get on later today.


note: mid 6'10s meaning something like a 6'15 or a 6'16. Not a 6'10.5 or 6'10.4, just wanted to settle that. : )
 
Anyone online now? Well I will be racing at Fuji for a while, I hope to see some familiar names.;)

True... Best I did yesterday was 12th to 3rd (finished 4th because DRIVER_93 rammed me in the last corner...), but only 2 or 3 GTP/GTPRrs were online and I was very lucky escaping traffic congestions and collisions from remaining players (aka: mobile chicanes).

I said it before and will say it again:
a) No ruberband please. It's not even working well in this event. There's always 2 or 3 groups, not one.
b) Longer races, 10 laps at least. With the possibility to quit if not host.
c) Fix rolling starts. This can't be done in a single line with 5 car lengths between players. In HSR it turns the difference into 7 or 8 lengths by turn one, and if everyone ahead is as fast as you, rubber banding won't take you further than 8th or 7th, staring 12th. And that's with a lot of luck, and no mistakes...

This event would be closer to perfection with nascar type, close, side by side rolling start, no "rbe" and 10 laps length. 👍


EDIT: But then this topic would have to be changed to: High Speed Ring F430 Z06 GT-R 00-20-40 and we could only do 3 races in an hour. But it would be worth at least a try PD... (hint, hint) :)

Yepp - slippery nippels for me at the end there. Think i got sceard when i saw a couple og f430 closing in my 2 seconds gap:). Nice pick up anyhow..

Ohh - i just adore these friendly guys making your car go faster in the turns....

The vette is still not going fast in my hand.
Though I was very happy to finish 4th with GTP_Bollocks at the lead.
And GTRP_Hugo gave me a good lesson how to drive an orange vette :)

WOW! the racing at the minute is AWESOME! There is about 8 - 9 GTP racers in HSR and the races are soooo close.
 
I think I should start drifting with a F430 reasons would be...
more grip, faster and better start position.

Bad reasons would be... incomplete drift and snap-back

I hope my drifting wasnt like yesterdays (full of mistakes, overcooked corners, huge angle...) Could it be the mass pressure from GTP racers 💡

yeah I'll be along soon, tried the Vette but its too tricky for me without suspension tweaking.... so F430 it is. On the brightside I did get to witness Sarlech and 2fast4stig having the most epic battle just now... cracking stuff.
 
Sorry for my fault in the slow SS-s, we were all over the place with 4 or 5 cars. Don't know what happened, but I punted someone after being hit myself...... Went very wrong from that moment.

Apparently I am still driving like crap : ( But not bad went from 6th to 2nd versus GTP_flash48 and GTP_zzAli. Good race guys
