So I'm breaking down and getting a project car. I've looked into many options below 2 grand for the car, And I've found a few. They must have a manual, unless I allow it. I'm sticking to my area. Which do I go with? Keep in mind, I'm looking to spend no more than 7 grand on the whole project.
1.) 1999 Subaru Legacy L AWD Wagon 5 speed - $900 - blown transmission. would need a WRX motor, WRX transmission, wiring harness splice, different crossmember, rear end to match the WRX transmission, new wheels,
2001 Subaru Outback 5 speed - 2000, no known problems. I'm think of mating an EZ30D and splicing the harness, calling it a day.
First, It's picking out the car. And don't worry about space. I'll be buying a house soon.
Which one? Or should I wait?
