First attempt of the Monza time trial. The updated physics feel better than previous versions, the F3500A feels better to drive than the X2019 Comp. It only took me a 2 hours or so to get the time I ended up with. I have my controller sensitivity set to 6.

Hmmmm other than the last chicane where you carry a lot more speed than me, the rest of the lap doesn't LOOK any more on the edge than mine but you have damn near 2 seconds on me. Interesting.

Don't look at the other info, just to refer to the corner numbers

Maby look at the sector times then?, for me exit of T2 and 8-9-10 ( Ascari ) are the two most important parts were for me making or braking a goldlap happens....., ( besides the 8/10 invalidations on the curb of T4 🤣 🤣

For Ascari i see a lot hitting 5th on the first apex, i'm in 4th and seems to be far more stable for me due to the higher RPM, but that might change IF i'm going back again 🤣🤣

wow, @Gomario JSP, what a ride. I'm sure you will still improve, but seeing your "👽difficulties👽" puts my 104.5x% in a whole different light.

or maybe it's just because my livery is like this!!!?

Watching your replay I also noticed the reflections of the helmet. By now I take GT's graphics too much for granted, but taken for granted it just isn't

This TT will probably be marked as one of the toughest to complete on a controller/pad. We'll see how people react to messing up at Monza. This is why I'm iffy about it. I know the chicane will be a nightmare to perfect and the Lesmo corners as well. The high speed corners at Sector 3-4 count too. Some may have trouble finding the right lines and braking points there too, but it all lies within the driver of how their lap/outcome turns out. I like the color choices too, people can do custom liveries with this machine.

Snuck in a quick 10 laps or so, could very consistently lap in the low 27's, even a dip into high 26. Really struggling out of slow corners though so switched to MT, now I've never used MT because it's impossible with dpad but now with a wheel it is on the table but wanted to have less variables to worry about. However, my second MT lap was a 26.4. After that though, a solid 8 laps where I made errors and binned it as I am not used to multi tasking. But the time saving is there, my optimal is a 26.0 so not far off gold.

Good luck with this TT, I guess I'll try it over the weekend. I need to get plenty of rest first. MT would be the best option for anyone so they can expand their speed and lines. The wheel might be the thing that people use more for better cornering and stability. Instead of me starting over after a lap or two, I'm just going to run 15-20 laps in a row, that's probably what most of the aliens and professionals do anyway for better and quicker times. You and I have similar lines and braking points apparently, that was during the Road Atlanta challenge. Stock/group cars seem to have more stability than normal road cars.

Historically I tend to be relatively faster with cars that have more grip, in saying that the formula cars and Karts were impossible on dpad and a MILLION times better on a wheel. I can hustle this car without CSA, I have a feeling this will be a 2 weeks mission to get gold as I feel much closer than I do with the wretched Testarossa or Daytona.

You're right in that a LOT depends on really perfect kerb riding and corner exit, get the second chicane SLIGHTLY wrong and lap is toast.

Hey go easy on us homo sapiens - I'm struggling on the straights as well!

The 2nd chicane is my absolute nemesis though. Just can't wrap my pea brain around the speed you guys are able to carry out of there 🤔

Well done everyone who's already got their gold. And good luck to everyone still trying -you've got this 🤞

Easier said than done but I think the faster guys are running OVER the sausage on the left, not with the tyres but right over it so it doesn't upset the car and gives you the best angle to JUST miss the one on the right and square up the car for a fast exit.

The issue is the shadows and low POV so spotting your brake marker is a hell of a ride.

Thanks mate, next session wil be the Testarossa again to see how the physics are, I ran the new interlagos event with the stock Huracan and that was realy bad with extreme vibrating on every miniscule understeer ....
But who know if I return to Monza 😁🤣

Those helmet reflections are indeed a joy to see!
I still watch my replays often and enjoy those graphics very much!

I thought for sure I would regret attempting Monza, but I was stunned at the lap I managed to put in. I even blew Parabolica pretty badly. It took about 100 miles to really get a handle on the car. But I did my best to channel my inner Ivan Capelli/Mauricio Gugelmin in the trusty and beautiful Leyton House and was quite happy with the result! :dopey:

Anyone who hadn't put in a decent lap yet in the Testarossa kinda got screwed lol. I think I'm nearly half a second slower now compared to pre-update. The car is quite a bit trickier to get around corners...
