GT40 MKIII'll put it to you this way it could easily tear up ANY ford torino on the super speedways when they were used as stock cars.something a little bit crazier put that same motor and internals on a dodge challenger or plymouth 'cuda mod out the motor and drivetrain except the trans, L3 weight reduction and they both go like hell.
GT40 MKIIThe one in the GTS-R or the road cars cause the one in the GTS-r is a stock block v10 With a few other stock parts but from what I've heard is that the motor was designed by lambroghini to be used as a truck motor. Thats what i've heard. I'm not sure if it is all true If anyone out there knows for sure please clear the smoke. many would greatly appreciate it.
Jmac279They're talking about the Viper engine, not the drag car engines
As far as the Viper engine being designed by Lamborghini for Chrysler, from what I know, it's true ... Chrysler owned Lamborghini from 1986 until 1994 ... Coincidently, the Viper concept was introduced in 1989 ... As far as the engine being developed for a truck, that's laughable at best since it was never used in anything but the Viper for like a decade until the SRT-10 was developed ... Besides that, why would you get a supercar company to make you a truck engine ?
