Pm sent. Here's a couple of pics of my Civic. It's my first experience of Honda and VTEC and i'm loving it. 👍

It's a UKDM 1.6 VTi (same as the USDM Si)

SP33 - Love the new look. Definitly an upgrade from what you had before. Drilling a hole to get rid of the water is alright, just watch that you don't put too much preasure on the drill and crack the plastic. Another trick you could try instead is too take it off and put a bead of sealer around the edge and put it back on, which should fix the problem.

Taurine - Big fan of the car, looks like it would be a great track car to have fun in when complete. A strut brace will help you greatly in stiffining the the front suspension, and a rear upper brace would benefit you as well. Unfortuantly, the roll cage will only help stiffen the body from warping in high speed turns, and help save your life in an impact. Any internal work done on the B16? Whats your future plans for it?

No, engine is completely stock with the addition of the 2.5" straight through exhaust.

I really don't know what to do with it now.. Go All Motor drag racing with a B18C or Turbo B18C... Keep it on the track and build the B16 to stay in the 1600 class or build a B18C for the track and run the 1800 class.

So many possiblities..

Although I managed to get my headlights more or less sorted:

Looks much better, and much much better with the parklights on there - just a pity I got the wrong ones :grumpy:

Thanks dude :) yea' i much prefer that look, give it a fatter stance for some reason.. i was thinking about sealing it, but im worried that if it ever manages to get in after that then it wont be able to get out 8/

Yep looks better with the headlights.

Keep the B16, and keep it a track car. With the high RPM engine, and light weight body, I think you'll have more fun throwing it around corners than keeping it straight down a track for 15 seconds at a time.

Stick with the B16 so you can run in the 1600cc class. Get some high compression pistons, EK9 CTR cams, DC2 ITR 4-1 header, an after market throttle body (about 65mm) and an intake manifold with nice short fat runners. I'd suggest individual throttle bodys but you probably dont wanna deal with a stand alone ecu or other major ecu work.

Are you allowed to SC or turbo in that class, or does that put you into a different division?

Oh man, thats been a long time since I didnt been here.

So I feel a little bit ****ed up fuzzy lazy but heres what I have to say. I'm quitting the world of Honda. Yes, I've felt in love with a GMC truck, the Sierra, and I'm thinking about getting one. I know its a big change, but I felt in love with some American 4X4 power. I test drove it and loved it :)

Sorey guys :)

Turbo cars have weight penalties, something like this springs to mind:

4v per cylinder NA is allowed 0.4kg minimum weight per cc
4v per cylinder Turbo is allowed 0.65kg minimum weight per cc

1600 NA = 640kg min
1600 Turbo = 1040kg min

I haven't read too far into the rules and regs but that seems like something I've read before.

I'd stick with all motor. A more natural power band is always nice. Like they say, NA is better 👍

MV, your english sucks as always but I gather you may buy an suv. Thats nice. Have fun with that if you ever get to pull out of the gas station 👍

So what rpm do you guys cruise at? I find 3000rpm feels good in the city.

I think you dont know what the GMC Sierra is. Its not a SUV at all man, its a pickup truck. You should be ashamed of not knowing the cars made by your own country, shame... And as far as my english is, as you never remember I'm not a native english guy, so I dont know 100% english, but enough to understand your trash talking. 🤬

Interesting, I would stick with a heavy N/A tuned engined then.

You dont know me.

17 years old boiii living in the USA, owning a red (dunno the actual red color name) Civic Sedan (89 if I remember correctly), with red interior. The guy loves Cradle Of Filth and is a Honda addict for life. He thinks that a GMC Sierra is a SUV, since he came back from his ban, he been very agressive and changed alot, now totally pissing me off (one of the reasons why I dont come here anymore). :sly:

Its all I know :)

Hmm, interesting. I suppose i'd stay with NA then, so you don't make the mistake of getting turbo lag coming out of a turn, therefore killing your lap time.:yuck:

ED3 - I normally cruise just below 2800-3000 rpm, depending on what gear, and what street. I was actually thinking about how weird a Preludes gearing is tonight when I was driving. I've cruised in 4th doin 60 kmh around 2800 rpm, with some pull from the engine when I touch the pedal, but then i've taken 4th gear up to 165-170 kmh on the highway.

I've noticed most cars have their 3rd gear as their gear with the most pull, but in my car, its 2nd. Another thing, my 5th gear ratio seems close to 4th, at low speeds only 500-800 rpm from eachother, but after 4th tops out at 165 kmh, i've been able to take 5th up to 225 kmh. I haven't tested it on my G-Tech Pro yet, but i'd say my quarter mile time would almost be the same, whether I went 1st-2nd-3rd-4th or 1st-2nd-4th.

All I can say is God bless VTEC, and my messed up gear ratio's.:D

P.S. Sierra's suck.

Actually I'm coming up on 19 in 2 months. The color is cardinal red. It is an 89 but you forgot to mention its a 5 speed.

Since you bring up our banning... How about you stop slow chatting with me in my thread?

I find 3000rpm in 3rd gear is nice. I try to keep it over/at 3k most of the time.

I am still running the stock D15B2 sohc 1.5l. It only makes 92hp and 89lb/ft but since the car is so light I can find 6500rpm pretty fast. I've never had the room to find the top of 5th but It'll do 120mph I believe.

When I finaly get up the cash for an engine swap, I'm probably going to go with a 1.6l soch vtec or a dohc zc.

Not bad. I'd go ZC, might be a little more money, but theres more available for it in the form of mods and information.

Know of any sites dedicated to your style of Civic with pictures and info? Haven't seen many of that style modified around here, and I wouldn't mind seein' some possibilities.

I just scored muh licence w00t. freedom is fun XD

As the Ed3 said as well the car is only dam 950kg unladden. which is nothin'. I find if you drop below 3k 5th doesnt pull but the others are always happy. And the gearing is quite weird for most honda models. Most of the times the engine would quite happily shift from 1st to 5th (not that you would), such lovely flexible engines hehe :)

Here in the us the sohc engine would have more parts. Thats what holding me back from getting the zc. plus I like sohc engines a little more and I want vtec.

Yes there is a site dedicated to my type of civic. I just happen to be the founder of it ;)

Yeah, the light weight of older Honda's is what I love. Unfortuantly, my Prelude style was the heaviest Prelude, but still light compared to its American counterparts. The only problem I find with the older automatics is once you add more then 2 people to the car, it loses its go completely.

Haven't done a 1st to 5th, but i've pulled a couple 2nd to 5ths before after turning onto the highway and giving it only to find a cop sitting up ahead, or having a tractor pull out in front of me. Engine didn't bog though, just went smoothly into gear and cruised as if I shifted from 4th to 5th.

ED3 - Thanks for the site. Checking it out now.
