acuras the US version made in the US
i dont know alot about them but i suppose the acura has luxurys

Acura is just an American subdivision of Honda that classes luxury and more sporty cars under that name. Its still a Honda. The only differennce is the badging on it.

There's a slight bit more to it, actually.

The main difference is styling wise;
Different front end styling on the Acura, which is similar to the front end of the European car. Although, the earlier JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) Integras had the same front end as us, with the funky 4 headlights.

See the difference:

1994-1997 Acura Integra, European Honda Integra, and 1994-1995 JDM Honda Integra

1996-2001 JDM Honda Integra ( I believe it was sold in England & Germany for one year, too.) (Don't mind the silly wing, couldn't find a stock one fast enough...)

Now, onto the harder to notice part. The European version of the Honda Integra, save for a few cosmetic details ( rear fog lights, front end that is similar to the Acura version) is exactly the same car as the JDM version. The Acura version has different impact beams to cope with US regulations, different anti-pollution equipment. It was Left Hand Drive, too, and had a bit more weight added to it. The suspension had been retuned a bit to make it cope better with our roads. And, well, the badges.

That's basically it.

I hate the way ours look. So its the same chassis but a different front fascia? I always figured that the DC2 with rectangle lights was just a one time thing. I like that one way better.

I like the Japanese version much better. Those double headlights on the US version are so damn ugly. Plus its a better built car than the US version.

They are pretty much the same car. Crappy little FWD's that are way over rated. The Japanese one doesn't look much better.

so both Honda and Acura Integras have the same chasis?

by the way, the Integras in Gran Turismo 1 have square headlights instead of the double celica-like headlights in Gran Turismo 2. could they be Honda Integras?

Well, I contacted my nearest honda/acura specialist (in Vegas, they actually are sepcialists) and asked about the differences in chassis. He says its the same chassis but the japanese just uses different lights. And thats already made clear here. But what Im getting at is you can go and buy yourself a japanese aero kit for your integra and buy the type R lights and you got yourself a conversion. No need to blow all your money on the body shop to cut out holes in your stock hood and fascia to put on the japanese lights
Ings makes a body that comes with vented fenders, hood, fascia, etc. Thats all you need for the conversion with the lights.
So uh, if you really want the japanese spec looking integra, just buy a japanese body and the lights, but you have to make sure you buy the fenders as well.

Why is it that pretty much every import to you is now crap? Because you had bad experiences with your "ghey" Eclipse?

Those crappy FWD overrated cars are nicer, faster, and cost more, than your big crappy RWD SUV. Bah.

I had bad experiences with imports. Plus there all way over rated. I'd rather have a vechile that will keep me safe in a crash, can haul stuff, and looks decent.

The Eclipse was bad now that I think about it. Why the hell did I buy that???

Fwd imports definatily aren't faster then my truck. Some do cost more yes but most don't.

I'll stick to my American terrorist mobile

An Eclipse RS could probably beat your Blazer. Your Blazer wasn't made to be fast, and, well... neither are those Integras, or most FWD imports, but I'd be willing to bet 75% are quicker than your Blazer.

Me, you, and Doug should all get together and race. I don't care what Doug says - his truck is slow. It would be GS300 vs F-150 vs Blazer. Hey, it could be fun!:odd:

BTW- I'm not trying to be an ass in the first paragraph. My daily driver would probably get walked on by an Eclipse, and 75% of FWD imports. I'd be willing to bet some Honda minivans, and ****, could beat me too.:(

I can beat a lot of FWD in drags but not on the track. Blazer's are just torque and nothing more. Plus mines set up for towing for whatever reason :odd:

But ya lets race. I'll lose but what the hell it'll be fun.

You're a fool.

An Integra GS-R will show you its taillights for eternity. You've got a 180hp V6 in your ****box, and it weighs over 3500lbs. And don't get me started on the Neon SRT-4, the Mazdaspeed Protegé and the Integra Type-R.

well stock the Vortec V6 comes with 190hp. I got some mods and I'm pushing 210 now. Plus 275lb ft. of torque. Trust me I'd smoke em off the line and I have just enough to keep them off in the quater.

What kind of mods you got? You're still heavier than every so called "fwd ****box" out there, even with 210 hp.

210hp, and 275ft/lb of tq. isn't going to help some 2 ton SUV run anywhere near what a GSR, or Type R runs.

A 5spd 4.3l V6 Sanoma/S-10 runs low-to-mid 16's in the quarter. Add 1,000+lb, or however much, to that, and you get your Blazer.

MSD Ignition 6A, under drive pully system, K&N air intake, new plugs, 8mm wires, and its been reprogrammed.

No way you're at 210. That's BS ricer claims. You're not even at 200 hp. You've still got the stock and restrictive headers & exhaust, the stock cams & internals. You've probably lost power with those mods, actually.

Im just being on a Neutral side here because I dont want to get in the middle of your guys' brawl.

He has lots of torque so his claims are pretty believable. If you have lots of torque thats good, torque isnt just for pulling, its for also acceleration...

Actually, underdrive pullies add horsepower, and so do K&N filters...

Turbo diesel dulie's have like 500 ft/lb of tq, and I've never seen one run better than a 17 at the strip. 275ft/lb of tq is good, but not in a heavy SUV. A Suburban probably has more than that.

S2000's 153ft/lb of tq vs the Blazer's 275ft/lb. I'd like to see you take that off the line, or anywhere in the 1/4.

its only 20 extra hp. Not that much considering the K&N box said 27hp but that was BS.

There are styling differences, but even Acuras are built in Japan. Not all of them, mind you, but many are. Basically, if your Integra's VIN starts with a J, it was built in Japan. C for Canada, U or A (can't remember) for a US built car.

I've lighten up the blazer as best I could by taken the spare out...working on the some other stuff. But its hard to do. The truck weight 3200 pounds
