I have a 91 Honda Civic Si-R, EK Honda Civic Type R, and EF Honda Civic Si-R that I have difficulty launching in drag races on line.

Can anyone send me tips or private messages of their tunes they have for this car so I can complete them?

If you can help, I would really appreciate it! đź‘Ť

Use Nawcz 300hp rate for those fo weal launches. Really are you too much of a wuss to go onto a HONDA ONLY DRAG RACE server and ask?

This part of the forum is for ASKING for help and discussing tunes. Really are you that much of a wuss you have to act big man to a new member? Hes gonna leave this site with a very good impression now because of you.

your right, it's not hard to search or use the function, and also I wouldn't be surprised if he never checks this thread or logs on to GTP again. However, if he does never return we'll never know if he left for his own reasons or if it was because he was offended by your statement. new members shouldn't be targets for your snub remarks. I've seen your other posts so I know you are knowledgable enough to post good information, but there is about a 50/50 shot of gold or coal from you.

I have searched and even went through every page up to page 16. I understand people may not want to give out their exact tunes, but I would appreciate a lil guidance either with the LSD settings, suspension, or gear ratio.

I understand that you guys get people on here to not try themselves in the game, but i literally spent the past few months trying different settings with no luck at all besides my ALL MOTOR EK Civic Type R.

Right, well the goal is to launch without lighting up the tires, so keep first gear long enough that you stop spinning and short enough that you don't just bog when you launch it. then, once first gear is sorted out, work out the remaining gears so that they are all close together. that's up to you per track though. I personally make the final drive small, or all the way to the left, which keeps the ratios in tact while still giving you longer gears. I don't recommend going all the way down with your final drive as you probably don't have enough power in the civic to use it efficiently

Thank you! I will try that out here soon.

Well, I'll say what I can...

You probably won't want more than about a 7-8:1 first gear ratio (as in first x final)... If I'm not mistaken, most of the Hondas will have a minimum final drive of about 3.000... This means you want first gear to be 2.500... Which will complicate things a bit. Try setting the trans to default, autoset to the lowest speed possible, then see what you can set 1st gear to. If you can't go low enough, set final to 5.000, move top speed up one and then back down, check, then try 5.500, etc. Worst case is it won't go quite long enough even at maximum final, oh well.

Once you've done that, set final drive to minimum and set 6th so that you're right at peak power when you hit top speed... Then spread the rest of the gears out as evenly as possible and call it a day. You should be able to launch at WOT and spin the tires noticeably but not enough to bounce off the limiter; when the car regains traction you should be right before peak power. Run it out to redline, shift, etc.
