Hood view?

It was also a disappointment for me to find out they hadn't implemented the hood view, but I have to say that the bumper view seems to have changed somewhat compared to previous GT's. It's now more like a hood cam without the hood. It seems that you're higher up, and also, if you bump into other cars or objects, depending on the car, you can notice that you make contact before the camera actually "touches" the object.

The viewpoint for driving in my setup (with greater distance to TV, bumper cam is better than cockpit) is now very close to perfect, even though I wish I could have a better feeling of my car's dimensions.

Yes, I noticed that some cars the bumper camera seems to be as high as the cockpit camera but in the bumper view you cannot tell when you're about to hit the car in front and with a hood present it would be more easy to figure that out.
 
To the best of my knowledge none of the cars have a hood view in the game. They do have a roof view and on some cars this may appear to be a hood view but is not.

To check and see if you have stumbled across one that actually has a hood view cycle through all the views while in the car if you see 3 cameras on a standard or 4 cameras on a premium you are not seeing a hood view even if it appears that you are.

The 4 views are Bumper, Cockpit, Roof and Chase. Hood would be a 5th option that I have yet to see in the game. I have not tryed arcade mode as of it so maybe there is one there? I know there was some video posted of one of the demo builds that did indeed have 5 views and included the hood view but that was a build without standards included I think.

Is possible that they had to scrap it due to a bug when using it with the standards or that it was juts not complete and was disabled.
