Horn honking when locking car

I want everyone to know my car is locked. So I like my car to honk when I lock it, stock horns along with my hellas together let the whole block know.

Look under your dash. On my Lexus there's a knob to adjust the volume of the "Toyota beep".

My Escape honks only if I hit the lock button twice, hitting it just once locks it ad flashes the lights, but no horn. I like the little honk when pressing the lock button. Just an extra confirmation the doors are locked.

Sometimes I fat-finger the button and it honks 3-4 times.

My dad's Mazda 3 has a really loud beep. Sometimes I jump because I forget how loud it is. :P

I've seen a few cars with this. There are cars that honk, and then ones with a small blip or bloop type deal.

Cars with a honk can be annoying at times. The small ones are awesome, I could lock my car all day!

P.S. If I were you, I wouldn't invest in a car with a small bleep, just in case you get lost in a big parking lot!

There is a panic button for that. :sly:

The Hyundai Sonata doesn't use the horn. It uses a soft, electronic beep instead and the door locks are fairly loud from outside the car. Much better than a horn IMO.
