That might be a problem considering Mick's digicam is a POS, and we put it away for the winter a few weeks back. But I will plant the Idea in his head.....

No you didn't, I have that site in my favs and just checked it. There is a blue one that looks remotely similiar though, of course it's not the same car angle either.

Has anyone seen a website for a silver 1980's Olds G-body with a Northstar conversion? It had a red interior, and was in Hot Rod a few years back. I think the shop that made it also put Viper V-10's in some classic Mopar muscle.

And Cano, that scan of the HR showing Olds show cars left me drooling on my keyboard. Especialy that Grand National clone. With the black-out headlamps. OH MY GOD. Ultra-cool.

Any one got any pictures of custom 50's Ford F100 pickups? I'm building a 1/12th r/c car and need ideas for a unique paintjob on it!

Thanks in advance

that orange flamed F100 is really cool. traditional.
you could do a really traditinal ratty rod man. black primer! solid red flames! whitewall tires over steel wheels or moon caps!
something like that. that is waht I'd do to one of those.

the shop that built the Hurst Olds you talk about is called Time Machines, and I think its located in California. they swapped a RAM iron V10 engine into a challenger, and a full Lincoln mark VIII undercarriage under the body of a 49 mercury ragtop. I dont know if they have a website, but dang those dudes work well. they rule.

I've got to agree with you, the orange F100 looks sweet! Love your idea though, I was thinking about moon caps anyway although whitewall tyres could be hard to do as the tyres are foam.

some more pics of impressively moded rods and muscle cars, shown at the SEMA fest this year:

OMG!!!! I didnt know this car was already finished!!! I saw a sketch drawing of it some time ago, it was built by Steve Strope, that is all I know,. I have been disconnected from HotRodMagazine for quite some time now, So I never saw this car. then I find this. its INCREDIBLE!!
40.jpg

here is the concept sketch:
GTX-ART.gif

such a drawing
a peek into what he is now building... this car will be powered by a 528 inch Hemi. heaven help you.
68CHARGER-ART.gif

and then... we have this Cude, wich is also impressive, right down to each of its ****ing ten cylinders!!!
41.jpg

its Viper engine
42.jpg

get a load of this 67 Stang fastback complete with new "Cammer" powerplant and four Webers
57.jpg

its engine. the BBs wheels look sharp also!! this one was built by FoMoCo to showcase its new 5.0 litter "cammer" powerplant.
58.jpg

So was this Focus, converted to RWD and filled with said powerplant :odd:
51.jpg

this wasnt shown at sema, but it is one hell of a truck. powered too by the new Cammer ford engine, this one is supercharged AND intercooled, bringing the grand total to 600 hp and 500 lbft. it also has a custom tube chassis and hardcore racing suspension capable of pulling 1g+ in the skidpad...
and it looks cool as hell.
fr100panel.jpg

the painted grille (instead of being chromed) gives it a bad ass look...
and well... its engine, wich is, I must say, BEAUTIFUL...
fr100panel3.jpg

fr100panel2.jpg

well, that's it. a good bump on this one
