Huh?Picture #2: YOU!
Screw it, risking it, I bet some will like but most won't but it counts as a rod anyway.
I'm writing my history thesis on hot-rodding
Match made in heaven.
And this is what is powering it
I've seen many V8 swapped Pintos (actually very popular to do) but Boss powered ones are sweet.
A lot of people stick to your typical engines...302's, 351's, even big block 429s or 460s.It is common, eh? You learn something new every day (need to brush on my 'Murican car knowledge ). A Boss-powered Pinto looks like a major hassle to do, but the reward is imense when you can actually have a bad-ass Pinto. 👍

A lot of people pull junkyard motors and build those up. I have also seen LSx style engines in Pintos, as well as Chevy small blocks. So your classical Ford blocks, got it. Most of the time, it is easier to source a crate engine like a 302 than finding such a big block like the Boss. At least I think.
Eeeew, hideous Volks Rod. Idiotic all the way.
Ask away whatever you need, I might be able to help you out 👍
Thank you. Can I upload PDFs? I have a TON of scans from Hot Rod on microfilm between 1948 and 1955. Some of the lakesters are crazy. One was a pontoon, connected by the axles, Merc 286 in one, driver in the other.
