:dopey:

Well, you didn't post a drift car, so it isn't the end of the world. But your attitude ain't gonna fly far in here.

Here's a sweet Starliner:

Slicks
That is a drift car. Do not post it here. Post it somewhere else. Or better yet, don't post it at all. No Camaro deserves to have that done to it.

You just don't seem to learn. This is the 3rd time, and everyone has told you off every time.
Don't make Menglan flood the Imports thread with hotrods.

So that Camaro is a muscle car and a custom but its not allowed in the hot rods, muscle cars, customs thread just because the car is used in drifting competions? :indiff:

Reason? Because most drifting cars are imports? You dont like what they did with the muscle car? Theres plenty of cars in here I dont like the custom work or what they are doing with it doesnt mean they arnt allowed in here. That goe's for the Imports thread also.

The drag strip was alway dominated by muscle cars so when Imports start drag racing does that means they arnt allowed in the Import thread?

All sounds abit childish to me.

a of a drift camaro, plastered in names an all, is insulting :indiff: its like putting a picture of an import with a big engine in the import thread

btw nice starliner, not sure about the color :odd:

Doesnt change the fact that its still an import, and without going through all the import pages I'm pretty sure I've seen a few Imports (in the import thread) with 'big engines' in them.

I wouldn't exactly call that Camaro a muscle car. It's been ricer-ized, for a lack of a better word to use. It's been covered in decals, has a crappy aftermarket cowl-induction hood, and has, quite possibly, the worst paint job I have ever seen on a Camaro.
Yes, it is also because almost all drifting cars are imports done in a similar way to the Camaro. Drifting is not typically a 'sport' for the muscle car, hotrod, and custom type of person.
Sure, that Camaro (and any other non-import) drift car is allowed in here. It's just not wanted. As for the drag racing imports, the Import thread can have 'em. But it might be viewed the same way as the Camaro here. I have never, and never intend to visit the Import thread, as it is notorious for having idiots in it, and I more often than not don't like Import (I'm thinking mainly Asian) cars. I'm not saying specifically that you or anyone in the Import thread is an idiot, but I have heard things in the past about the people there.

And back on topic, that Ford convertible is niiiice. And that Willy's must be a real handful on track :scared: .

I personally am a fan of both Muscle cars and Imports, thats why I own both.

"It's just not wanted", well thats your opinion maybe some others also but you cant talk for everyone that views this thread. As for drag racing Imports I havent seen anyone into Imports say anything bad about Import drag racing, its just another form of racing.

I dont see anything on that camaro except maybe the paint that you wouldnt see on many muscle based Camaros of recent times. Repaint that car say... matt black or silver and put it on a different track like a Nascar oval and I doubt that Camaro whould have gotten any negativity.

So telling people "Do not post it here. Post it somewhere else. Or better yet, don't post it at all" Is wrong in my opinion.

stumpydino
drag racing imports  ah the irony

Please explain?

*EDIT*

You know what scrub that I just dont care anymore, just please keep an open mind and dont stereotype a type of car with types of owners, it works both ways.

Hey Stumpy, that Yellow American Austin is Awesome! I posted a couple pics earlier in the thread. 👍 And, best of all, it's got a Kansas plate.

I know for a fact that it is not the oppinion of everyone that views this thread, because both you and Darkest_Hour have expressed yourselves otherwise. It is, however, the oppinion of the thread regulars (Myself, Stumpydino, and Menglan). I wouldn't know about the import drag racing thing, because as I said before, I haven't been to the Imports thread.

It's partly the activity and partly the car that I don't think belongs in this thread. And for the record, I hate NASCRAP with a passion.
I said "Do not post it here. Post it somewhere else. Or better yet, don't post it at all" because all 3 of us had already told Darkest_Hour to not post stuff like that here. He was wearing thin on my patience.
Either way, you are entitled to your oppinion, and I can (kind of) see where you are coming from here.

I'm up to my knees in drool from that '67 Mustang..

The light Green Mercury Shoebox/54 buick? Is very Tastefully done, I love it, But I'm not 100% sure what exactly it is.

Just to hush everyone's fears, I too hate Nascrap. I'd love to see an Opel Astra DTM Blow Dale Junior's painted on doors off. And, while we're mangling acronyms, Do yourself a favor and don't ride Amscrap. Well, Save the trains, but tell the Engineer to ease it on the horn.

Ahh, a Proper '69 Camaro. Maybe CAMAROBOY can enlighten us with some more F-Body goodness. (was the '69 an F-Body?)

As I recall, the light Green car was a '55 Chevy with a... ah crap. A '57 front grille/bumper and a '56 rear bumper. I think.
The '69 Camaro was inspired by GT2, and the '67 Mustang is nice.... I know...

I'm lovin the 54' and the Pick up with beer cans as Velocity stacks, I've seen a pic or three of it on Jalopyjournal. 👍 👍

I like that C-10. I've always liked the lines of those trucks.
Great idea it was, putting beer cans as velocity stacks!
