It doesn't, it's restored and those bias-ply tires are the size the thing came with from the factory. Scary.

Anyway, MOAR.

Really not a huge fan of American cars (though there are some i do like), but anyway.. that F-bird ^ is The best American car ever (in my opinion), it's just perfect in every way , that red Cuda at the top (parked next to the white one) is quite nice too. 👍

Ahh..okay, i stand corrected, that red Trans-Am i picture quoted off Cano, no- longer is perfect... the new perfect is clearly the Titus Trans-Am :drool:, i don't know what it is about the car... but it just looks sooo right.

it is because it's a true race car, not a street machine like the red one. The white car in the link I posted is one of the real 1970 Trans Am contenders, albeit it was never too comeptitive against the Penske Javelins that took the championship that year.

The monster posted by rocZX is a tribute to that very car but sporting a stroker big block and modern suspension. Look at the video he posted and then look at the related videos on the right of youtube to see it keeping pace with a Kremmer 935 Porsche no less. The car scoots.

Man, you can't really believe that beast is the original Titus Trans Am Trans Am. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL TITUS TRANS AM.

This car you posted is a fitting tribute, but I'm sure you can see the differences, they are quite evident. Thanks for the info and the videos though, one hell of a car.

I can see the differences between the two.

Me personally would not never want the original one, cause you could not race it, if you crash it and wreck it would not be worth anything.

Believe it or not, the original cars are still being raced in a nostalgia race series called Historic Trans Am.And while they are not pushed like in their heyday anymore, the new owners are not shy at all when it comes to mash the pedal.

The cars competing today include another of the 1970 Trans Ams, the championship-winning 1969 Sunoco-Penske Camaro, both championship-winning 1971 Javelins, two 1969 Boss 302 and one 1970, and both relevant Mopars of the day, Sam Posey’s 70 Challenger, and the AAR ‘Cuda of Dan Gurney.

Other highlights include the gold and black 1967 Camaro built by Smokey Yunick that could never race because it infringed the rulebook so much. It is now run by Vic Edelbrock. Yeah, that Vic Edelbrock, as well as several also-rans from back in the days, and a bunch of Shelby-Terlingua Mustangs.. Check out the website:

and look around in YouTube, it’s awesome to still hear the thunder of these things.

I knew that they had races with the car but I never knew that they were original cars.

The sound they make

The detail on that rod is incredible, not really my style, but I can appreciate the time a d effort that went into it, and the result is fantastic. Beautiful.

So nice! Something like that's what I hope to own someday (Only I want a pickup instead). If I was going to own an SUV, I would prefer a K5 Blazer or IH Scout.

May I ask why that owner has a Ford pushbar on the front of the Chevy?

If I got an SUV, I'd probably get a mid '80s to early '90s Bronco.
