well, due to me setting up regular touge rooms almost every day, I got interested in setting up a league. Here is what I have so far...

League Name: Hot Version: Extreme Stage

League Type: Touge Racing

==============================

Hot Version: Extreme Stage

Intro

- Welcome to Hot Version: Extreme Stage! This is a racing league which will be hosting organised online touge races. It aims to promote touge racing in the GT5 community in such a way that it can be enjoyed by everyone. Hot Version: Extreme Stage is inspired mainly by two big names in the world of touge racing, Initial D and Hot Version. This league adopts and brings together concepts from the two entities. Race style concepts will be derived from Initial D (both the game and anime), and tunes for the cars that will be used in the races will be derived from Hot Version.

League Organizers

The following people are the ones responsible for bringing to you Hot Version: Extreme Stage. We will be the ones responsible for hosting and organizing the events. If you have any questions about the league, feel free to approach us.

=== League Features ===

**Car Selection and Tuning Regulations**

Hot Version: Extreme Stage aims to have the cars and tunes to be used by the players derived from the cars featured in Hot Version. This allows for a more flexible range of tuning options, and settings that can be adjusted.

- Tire limit is Sports: Soft.
- All upgrades are allowed, except for Racing Modifications.
- Normal cars and Tuner cars are allowed
- Race cars and Concept cars are STRICTLY PROHIBITED (RM cars included in this category)
- Since all events will be organised, players will have to register for the season, including the cars they will be using. If a player uses a different car in an event that is not identical to the car they registered, they will be met with an immediate disqualification.

Three car classes will be featured: Amemiya, Nismo, and Spoon.

Amemiya Class - Max PP: 520

Nismo - Max PP: 485

Spoon - Max PP: 450

**Courses**

Custom - Toscana (Tarmac)
Custom - Eifel (Circuit)

All featured custom maps will have layouts reminiscent of Initial D Arcade Stage courses. In hosting races, the whole course will not be used.
- The custom maps will have 6 sections, thus producing 5 checkpoints
- The first and last checkpoints of a course will act as the Start/Finish markers, allowing the course to be run in both forward and reverse directions
- Using a 520PP car, navigating the course in a race pace in either forward or reverse direction will allow you to achieve a time of around 2min 50sec, and a time of 32-40sec or higher in between checkpoints.

**Event Types**

Events may be hosted by one or two HVES officials, but two officials are recommended. One official will act as the 'countdown Ghost Car' to start the race, and the other will act as a race steward, watching over the race. In the event that only one HVES official is available, the official must act as a 'chase cam' after starting the race.

>> Sprint Race

A standing start race where two players will race against each other from start to finish. They will line up at the starting line side-to-side and start at the same time. First one to reach the finish line wins.

>> Loop Race

A variation of the Sprint Race event type, wherein players will race the track in both directions. The start line will also serve as the finish line. Once reaching the other end of the track, players will do a U-turn AFTER their rear tires cross the line of the last checkpoint. The U-turn must be executed form left to right. First one to reach the finish line wins.

>> Cat-And-Mouse

A standing start race where two players will race against each other from start to finish. One will be the lead car, the other will be the chase car. The lead car will line up at the left side of the starting line, while the chase car will line up behind the lead car with a 3-second gap. A third player, an HVES official, will act as the 'countdown Ghost Car' to officially start the race. The HVES official must position his car at the right side of the starting line in such a way that he will be visible to the two players. The two racers will decide who gets to be lead car and chase car for the first run. In the event that the two racers want the same position, the official will decide for them. The race will consist of two heats. For the second heat, the lead car and chase car will swap places.

- If lead car extends gap by more than 3 seconds at the finish line, lead car wins the heat and gains 1 point
- If chase car closes gap or overtakes lead car and maintains lead until the finish line, chase car wins the heat and gains 1 point
- If both cars remain at their respective positions at the finish line, and the gap is 3 seconds, the heat is considered a tie and the players will swap places then go for another heat.
- If any of the following occur, the players will go to a sudden death match until a winner emerges:
> If one player wins the first heat, then his opponent wins the second heat
> If the first 2 heats result in a tie

>> Touge Wars

This is an HVES special event wherein 2 officials are required. Instead of the usual two players racing against each other, there will be TWO TEAMS racing. Against. Each other. That's right 2 teams consisting of two players each will battle head-to-head at the same time. Based on Initial D's Fujiwara downhill/ Takahashi uphill framework, two opposing players will race in one direction, their teammates in the other direction. Pair up with other players and aim to be the best team in the touge. Because this is a special event, special rules will apply. This event mixes up rules from the Sprint Race and CAM. Teams will decide which of their members will run the course in forward or reverse. For the explanation details below, the players will be simulated by Team 1 (1A, 1B), and Team 2 (2A, 2B).

This event is a standing start race where teams will race against each other from start to finish. They will line up at the starting line side-to-side. A third player, an HVES official, will act as the 'countdown Ghost Car' to officially start the race.

- 1A and 2A will race in one direction, 1B and 2B will have to wait for their respective teammates to tag them before they can start their run. Players 1B and 2B will line up at their respective start line, then hit the Start button so that their cars will become ghosts.
- To perform a proper "tag", 1A and 2A must run into the ghost cars of their respective teammates, or graze the track edge of the side where their teammates are. The team that clears the course first will be the winner.
- Since cars will have a tendency to race in opposite directions, officials will be more strict. Any contact between any of the 4 cars is STRICTLY PROHIBITED, not even contact with your teammates. Any and all forms of contact will be open for judging. If a car pile-up happens, the race will be automatically voided. Any attempt to tap the opposing oncoming car is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Do your best to avoid the oncoming cars and avoid hitting/tapping your opponent.

The following pictures demonstrate proper and improper tags:

- Toscana (Tarmac): players must have all the tires of their cars in the lane where their teammates are. Failure to do so will not validate the tag.

- Eifel (Circuit): players must graze or touch the track edge of the side where their teammates are. Failure to do so will not validate the tag.

d24/7, I think this might be up your alley. ;)

yeah I know LotS. But IMO it's a bit complex. I want a touge league that is simpler and can be enjoyed by everyone. :)

To be honest this looks a lot more complex than LotS. I have been part of LotS since the start and it is very simple and easy to get used to.

If you have any questions about it just ask there are plenty of members who are willing to help.

If not, good luck with this one :) 👍

It's not yet finished, it's still a rough draft. I'll be updating the first post and double-check it from time to time.

If not, good luck with this one :) 👍

thanks. :)

OP updated: changed format of headers

edit: changed name of racing league

Sweet thanks.

I'm going to register soon, just finalizing my car choices.

guys, chill. This league isn't officially established yet, it's still in the Interest Checks subforum. :D I won't be accepting registrations yet, only feedback from and suggestions for the OP. :)

any help would be appreciated. 👍 :) well, I do know that they use Initial D rules, albeit modified. Lead car and chase car, lead car wins if gap is extended and chase car wins if gap is shortened.

Lolol well ooops my bad. Suggestion switch to sports hard tires, for touge with tire wear in that seems to be a norm for all the touge battles on gtp.

HVES will utilize Sports:Soft tires because the Amemiya FD3S is the basis/benchmark for all the cars and tunes. the FD, when bought fresh from the NCD has 519PP on S:S tires, hence why the Amemiya class here in HVES has 520PP limit on S:S tires. :)

I've been messing around tuning different cars to hves regs but I find you dont really have to do anything to cars to have them perform well. I think s:h might be better just because you have to work harder on a car to be competitive.

I understand what your saying it is more challenging to tune a SH car, but the SS standard can be as well.
I can for sure say that a quick tuned car vs a fully tuned car on SS no comparison and Xano or myself can prove that.
If you can tune a SH car to be competitive you should have no problem with the SS standard.
