How about a new round of guess that car?

Nobody's guessed it yet.

Some hints:
-The car was developed in California
-It was designed by a famous Italian car designer, Franco Scaglione...designer of the Lambo 350GT, Porsche Abarth Carrera, and some Alfas of the day
-It has a Buick V8 engine with a 4-speed Borg Warner tranny

I may have just given it away, but I don't think anyone would've gotten it anytime soon... :)

Chevy Corvair? That was what first came to mind. I like that car in the background of the picture of the front view...modern American muscle sedan...:D

--EDIT--
Actually, now that I look at it, with some help and guidance from my dad, because he was alive when this car was,... Mercury Comet/Ford Falcon

Modern American muscle? Looks like a Crown Victoria to me, and 239hp out of a wheezy V8 isn't my idea of modern muscle. ;)

It isn't a Corvair.

I don't think a Crown Victoria is a particularly bad car, it just isn't even close to what I'd call "muscle".

Care to venture another guess? Like I said, Comet/Falcon is very, very close.

Just "Frontenac", actually, but close enough. :)

It was sold in 1960 in Canadian Mercury dealers, until the Comet arrived in Canadian showrooms in 1961.

I looked up "Canadian Ford Falcon" and a "1960 Ford Frontenac" came up, so I used the name with the "Ford" part...

Anyway, here's a new picture(s)...

Both are the same truck, one's a short wheelbase 2-door/2-seater, one's a long wheelbase 2-door/4-seater...for those who couldn't tell. :D

*Oh yeah, I won't be home for about 5 hours from now (8:00 EST) to confirm answers. I'm out playing cards with some friends, so if you have at least one other person confirm it, besides yourself, that's fine with me, and you can go... Good luck!

Some car based on the peugeot 504?
One model did have the option of a Renault motor, but other than that, there are no other French influences (that I've read).

*One more thing, I'm not sure of the year, but I think it's from the 90s, if that helps.

well the front lools like a "90ishlooking" Peugeot 305...

my guess is it's some Renault/Dacia or an Tata car, no clue about whicht model it is....

It's a Paykan, an Iranian-built Hillman Hunter. The photo was taken by Matthew Lambert.

Okay, I cheated :guilty: . Might want to host the image yourself next time.
Wanna try again?
