How about a playoff in the "Ask Kaz" Forum?

I'd like to see a playoff in the "Ask Kaz" Forum. Take the top 20 or so questions by "likes", throw in another 5 staff picks, make sure we'll all fit on one page. Then let the combatants take some time to word their questions as professionally as possible and then let's go at it for a week to come up with a list of the issues that are truly important to the community. It might end up being the same order who knows really, but it would also be something fun to do and give all the posters a chance to work on the wording and grammar of their questions so they can look polished and professional for Mr. Yamauchi.

I'd certainly be willing to help anyone reword their question as I'm sure many others would. I'd like us to look like we wore our best Sunday-go-to-Church clothes when Mr. Yamauchi shows up!

Maybe throw out a Premium Membership to the top X and if they already have one, they can designate anyone they wish to donate it to.

I think its fine the way it is. I don't need to look like an English major just for Kaz. I understand the whole being polite and all, but I just think you are taking it a bit too far in that regard. Its not like we're having a press conference with a president/king/queen etc. of a country or something.

Nobody would force you to do anything, if you want to leave your question(s) as is, you'd be free to do so. To a lot of people around here Mr. Yamauchi is a revered figure and I'd like to see him given the utmost respect and courtesy when he comes for his virtual visit. One can never take respect and courtesy "too far" IMO and if anyone deserves it, it's him. To each his own I guess.

Besides, I just think it would be a fun thing to do with the community. It's been pretty tense around here these last few months and we could use a little fun.

I understand where you are coming from with this and like I said, I have no problem showing Kaz the respect that he deserves for what he has done with his life. The thing that I am not willing to do though is worship him like some sort of God or something like some here do, which is what it makes it look like you are proposing. In my book, there is a difference between respect and worship, the latter being held only for that one supreme being. I have no problem saying "please" and "thank you", but that's as far as I am willing to go. Having said that though, I really see no reason to change the wording of my original question because this is just an informal type of thing: post a question for Kaz. We're not having a Black Tie event here, just posting questions.

Now, the other part. I do understand your intended fun factor in the "playoff" type presentation, but again, I just think its really not needed to get the result we're looking for. What we have now is fine, no need to go adding any extra steps or whatever just to make it fun. If it is decided to go that route, that's fine and I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, I just want my damn question answered.

So, you have my opinion on your idea. Just because I don't agree with it, please don't take it personal....that's the mistake I make all to often. I still love ya my Canadian friend, I just don't agree with your idea.

I think it's fine how it is. No need to make a spectacle out of a few questions...
I definitely think there's room for improvements, I don't think @Jordan open a Q&A section to let Kaz answer only the most silly stuff like "will you add more colors via DLC?" or "will you add more helmets/suits?".

If he did it I think/hope he want Kaz to answer the big questions.

The news article about the Q&A says Kaz will answer the most popular questions, not the most random ones.

I still think there's the need to filter out some questions, you know there might be some lost votes on trolling questions because people click like button for the joke not for the information we can get from K.Y. If it was a normal developers I wouldn't make such a big deal but since it's Cryptic Digital we are talking about would be a shame to lost votes on silly stuff. That's my point.

True, I'm also looking at the bigger picture. I want us to present as consistent and professional an image as possible to Kaz, which is why I'd like to give everyone a shot to vote again and to reword their questions. I don't want Kaz to be faced with questions with spelling and grammar errors in them and I'd like to see them worded with a positive and constructive vibe to them.

The format was developed in cooperation with Polyphony Digital; they are happy with how it's coming along and I see no need to change the format.
Ahhh...didn't realize PD was involved in the formatting. Good to know, thanks.

Votes lost? How can a vote be lost, you can vote for as many questions as you like, not just one? And what trolling/silly/joking questions are you referring to? Looks like all the valid questions are in the top 10/20 to me. 👍
