Master_Shake took it upon himself without me even asking to help me into the 8's with my ACR.

Thanks. I try to keep the online world competitive, atleast with the most frequently used cars run at Indy.

Couldn't care if you did or not. One way or another they all suck up to each other. Just feel sorry for newbies. I'm not saying there shouldn't be pros, the pros now though should leave, a new breed of pros needs to emerge! Btw Americans are so aggressive lol, can't race one person.

Beetwo, I'm not sure if it's the way you word your posts, but you have an air of cockiness yourself & it seems as if you're disrespecting the ones trying to help you. I definitely don't think I'm better than everyone else, because I've been beaten a lot - especially when first starting out.

The "Pros" here only look like jerks because you're looking from the outside in; the truth is, when you get fast enough to be considered one, you get a lot of people asking for tunes on here & online, as well as people harassing you online to race and look for any reason to call you a liar & a scrub. It's one reason why some of us are stressed out.

So, yes, some of us can be jerks because it's SSDD. We get detatched from the numerous people asking for tunes; bunching them into the category of beggar or noob, when some aren't, but it's their lack of motivation to learn that makes us this way.

Exactly. It also, in my case and I'm sure the case of many other people, makes us targets online.. People will stop at no end to try beat us. Get very annoying very quickly. And YES, a wing DOES help. But you should have really tested before making a thread about it..

At least in real life. If that's the case in Gran Turismo 5 then you need to remove the wing.

No you don't, because it makes you faster.

Thanks. I try to keep the online world competitive, atleast with the most frequently used cars run at Indy.

Again I agree. It takes about 2 seconds to try it.

Buddy...

There is a reason that we dont give out "our" tunes... its because drag racing is NOTHING like drifting... or Daytona... or really any other form of racing on this game... where as a tune will help you... but it wont make you "a pro." Dragging is the only thing in this game where somebody can pick up the game... come here and get a base tune... and be competitive.... and we (the people who have been dragging since the game came out) have made it WAAAYY to easy because slowly... but surely... the tunes on here have gotten faster and more tips and hints have been given out.... and it makes all of us "first generation of pros" who had to figure everything out our self's sick to our stomachs because their is sooo much info is right here... you just search for it. Thats why we get so pissed when somebody asks for "a best tune" because we already gave them the knowledge to be competitive... its not my job to make you faster... put it the time... and you will get the results you are after.

And another thing.... once somebody gets to where your at... NOBODY is going to be much help because we are all about at the same-ish spot. Your .010 of a second faster than my gtr... im at 9.040.... so with your logic... I should ask you for your set up????? Come on please dude... i really want it... ill give you a car or paints or horns. Please Please please post you tune up here for everyone to see and copy.

Understand now? That we have done our fair share? I havent seen you post anything that would help out the newbies... where is your tuning garage? and if you did open one... would you put your "best" tunes up for the world to see? I know that answer... and it is no. You would put up "base tunes" and direct people to them when they ask. Exactly what happened to you in your first thread.

Dont criticize us when you have done literally nothing for this dragging community. If you want "the pro's now to leave" then this section would not exist. It was the first era of pro's that gave you this platform to ask your question and express your opinion. And it was those same guys that put up the tuning garages...base tunes... a complete tuning guide... and a complete tutorial of how to set up your transmission. And once again... it was those same guys that YOU (and everyone else) ask your questions to. Dont burn your bridge to the ones you seek help from.... and dont get mad and start going after somebodys girlfriend because you dont get the answer you want.

That was beautiful...

In all seriousness though every bit of that post is true. If it weren't fo the first era you woulnd't have anything to go off of. And now you want us to leave? Oh I bet theres so much more you don't know...

I was just looking at my Spec V time b2, and your exactly where I am.. Congratulations.. We now tie with 1 out of the 1500+ cars in the game. Isn't that what you want.. To be faster then me. When you can consistently beat people like V Tech and KING TIDE and viper, then you can be considered one of the fastest, if not the fastest in Australia. But until that day comes, don't ask questions that can very easily be answered through your own testing.. As Busa said, the guys who started, admitted it not be me, they had absolutely nothing, they couldn't ask if a wing made their car faster.. Do what they did.. Do a little work and curiosity is the greatest way I can see improvement in many cases.. Just got to try new things..

Yeah, it pretty much summed everything up, If only everyone could read it and understand the point.

I remember the amount of extensive testing I had to do to see if a wing made any difference back at Indy LONG before SSRX came. We had to test a lot of things and no one knew much, because of us, WE figured out everything that is in those guides. We put the time and and we were the ones to beat back then. Now anyone can get fast from SSRX. Before it was race a fast guy and tune off him, keep changing stuff even if we didn't know what we were doing. Eventually we got results, and carried it over to another car and kept going and going and going and that's how we got were we are. So that's why we get made when people ask for tunes who aren't willing to learn.

Yes, i remember back when you had to have 5 cars to transfur tunes to, and route x never existed. The people i ran with always thought wings where bad, and we all had 7-8 second cars, and half the people never took notice to anything in the suspension besides the ride hight. I personally had joined a team who already had base tunes that they gave me and i dissected the transmissions then i made myself fairly competitive. In faster than the base tunes, but pros still get me. Still i had to learn with those tunes and figure out the suspension on my own, so i never did make the base tunes like these guys did but i did have to learn on my own. So many times i will help a noob as long as he or she is respectful and is actully trying.

Also to busa's post 👍

Okay bee let me state my opinion.

they defended their own so expect a 'nice' reply to insulting matts girlfriend

We aren't just going to give away our hard work so we can be beaten. That sorta demeans tuning in the first place. Because we had to tune the old fashioned way and had no idea whether we were truly faster or not, we do have some irritation towards people who know nothing about the car they tune and just flick settings and hope for the best.

Also people do not take lightly to asking for their tunes as 80% of a drag is the tune. If you're posting a fast time dont expect further help as really you are doing something similar already.

It's now up to you to play with the settings and get those last few milliseconds.

If this sounded insulting it was not intended to be.

Put the torque differential at 45-65 if you haven't already. And no toe & no camber.

You mean 45-55? If so i must agree, this is what ive had the most sucess with.

And also the only reason you have seen no help besides the fact that its very hard to give because your so high in times, but people also dont like you because of the disrespect shown in the incident with matt and his girl friend and many people who respect him and knew that was wrong of you stood up for him. Personally i dont consider myself anything to matt, not a friend or anything but i have very high respect for him not because hes fast, but because i see how he has helped others thus why u stood up for him. Maybe you would find some help also if you dident keep sayin we should all leave and that we all are cocky and we take this game too seriously. Maybe i would have given you a few things to try out myself if it wernt for that other thread

Are you serious right now for everyone that posted. Re read all my posts on this thread. Unless I am blind, where do I request a tune? Where do I beg members to give me the tune? Again, I wanted to know a simple answer. You promote one another to give people the impression your helpful people to which some cases you are, then you get annoyed when someone asked one thing? LOL

Matt I didn't say anything wrong towards your girlfriend, at all. I said a opinion that everyone seemed to get worked up over. So you guys help the community with base tunes which is great, but in return for those that are asking for tunes that are the best, you all degrade them instead of posting a simple link. I started some thread for some advice, not for people to protect there "own" which I doubt majority of you haven't even seen each other before lmao.

I slightly disagree but moving on.

I didn't say you begged for tunes as such but I said you can't ask to improve when really you are almost there. People are getting mad because it seems as if you don't wanna test any further yourself.

Ofcourse I want to test it lmao. Found a dc2 btw

Good good. I made one my regular user and the other my beast I keep locked up incase someone bears my regular (no Aussie has yet)
My regular goes 11.722 (uses gears 1-5 or the record) and my beast is faster but that time is kept secret for now ;)

You don't need to do the whole mile. You can just quit after you see the 1/4 time appear

True, unless of course you want to save the ghost and keep tuning for a faster time...watching your fastest ghost can help you see where you make any mistakes in shifting.

I normally go off 0-60 and sometimes 0-100 depending on whether I changed the tune or not.

Yeah, I do that too, I just usually save the ghost when I make a significant improvement, I just like to have a visual reference so I can see exactly where I go wrong or improve if I try a different shift point. To see the change helps me better understand he effects my changes make...If that makes any sense, its really late and I'm tired
