How do you take photos during replays?

I remember seeing a quick tutorial on photomode during a replay of a race and skipped over it. When I watch a replay and want to take photos, none of the buttons work except for start/select and triangle for zooming in. How do you take a pic?

Press start during replay, then select the photo option (the green camera).

This works only in replays you selected to play. It doesn't work in the automatic replays after a race. You have to stop the replay and then in the race menu select to play the replay again. Annoying, maybe but hey it's Gran Turismo.

That's pretty silly. Do you have to save them too?

Yeah the automatic replay is annoying and there is no interior 1 or interior 2 option in the automatic replay, but its available when you select "Replay" after a race. A slow motion option would be great and a feature I've always missed. Similar to Madden, being able to rotate around the car and watch the new physics and suspension model work would be cool... and because everything's better in slow motion.
