How far off is GT5 for North America and Europe???

I just have this feeling the EU/NA release date will pee us all off, as it'll be something ridiculous like 4 months after the Japanese release.

GT5 will never come to NA or EU before Japan. That's all I can say.

I dont think there will be too much delay. The PS1 and PS2 were the leading consoles in their respective times. So there was no real urge to get GT in NA or EU. However, the PS3 is lagging behind the rest and so there is a real urge for GT5 to hit the shelves in NA or EU.

Remember the interview after TGS, where Kaz said that the release dates set by Sony are sometimes unbearable.

Sad to say this but I think Sony will bank on this for Christmas 2010 whether we like it or not, and worse we still see this game on next E3 and still not launch in EU and North america. As for EU, guys i suggest import the Japanese version since EU is always the victim of delays. I plan to import the Japanese version( as well as Ff13 which is always the best version the Japanese version) An EU release might be on early 2011. By that time we already saw Ps4 teaser and Gt6 teaser , LOL.

That's nonsense. The timegap between EU and NA wont be more than a month tops. However I still hope we will for the first time see a EU/NA release before Japan. They don't have Christmas like we do, right?

But it is Sony decision, Since Sony is a company who wants to profit, whether we like it or not there is a big possibility that Sony will cash in for a December 2010 release and as always EU region will be so late yet again. GOW3 and FF13 (March FF13 launch is MS conspiracy for me) complicated everything. Three big games in 1 month on business stand point is not good, maybe if its just two but here goes that damn downgraded Ff13 to complicate things (that is why i know it is a M$ conspiracy to disrupt Gt5 which they know is a big game for Sony ). But I think February release for USA and EU is feasible and can be done.

But I cross my finger that we fans here can lobby to release not to late that March or April or possibly February. EU and USA release before Japan is feasible. Maybe for the first time PD and Sony shows some love for GT fans in NA and EU, especially in EU who has always been very supportive of GT games. Maybe it is time for PD and Sony to show some love for EU fans who always love GT and the game always sells big even bigger than Japan or NA.

Complete madness. You can safely put any thoughts of a Fall 2010 release or even later out of your mind. I think an April 2009 release is on the cards. Sony wouldn't even consider postponing it to December 2010 if it's really ready for release as they want to push as many consoles and as fast as possible. On the other hand, don't be too hopeful of a February release either. A month after JP seems the most likely scenario.
