How good are you at this game?

I'm not saying I'm the best at GT2, but this is how good I am. On the approach to a corner, I put the car out so wide that I brush the wall. When I take the corner, I hang the inside of the car over the rumble strip and on the exit from the corner I am carrying so much speed that I scrape the wall. How good are you?

Last time I got really seriously about the license tests, I ended up with about 33 gold, and all the rest silver except for 3 bronzes.

Yeah, lets all brag about how many golds we have, when everyone else could be saying b**l:censored:s**t!
What is the point you know! :odd:

I'm about average really, I usually rank about the middle of the times posted at racing-line.org, but never in the top half except for the hybrid ones.

Been a while, reckon my GT2 skills would be down a bit...

Cleaning up my HD yesterday I found a heap of my old GTXR-3 race replays with my coldfire built 390 hybrid.....anyone interested can have them and my car to have a chase if you like...unfortunately, most are in PAL format, I have a couple in NTSC and the car in both formats..

Ive been back on the gt2 game and have improved immensley.
I guess playing the gt3 game and going to manual shifting has helped a bit too.
I remember being cocky coming on to gtplanet. "I am a master of all tracks and master of the game" or so I thought.
People like Phil, Talentless, Jordan and many of the old school players taught me a valuable lesson.
No matter how good you are in your mind, its the mind of others that beat you.

Oh, I still consider myself average (now ;) ) and just like in real life, could be better. Its just a matter of pushing yourself. :D

i'm not the greatest :embarrassed:

see, i can be honest. my license test medals = about 12 golds, 30 something bronzes () and whatever is left is silver.

how i drive = offroad....all the time

something has got me wondering, why do you have to stay on the road or not crash in license tests if it doesn't matter when you race?

yeah, thats a very good question...

it seems to be the most formal way around a corner, but i think we all know that it aint always the quickest way abround every single corner!

Depends on the track. Trial mountain I find myself cutting the last chicane to the straight away and on the Apricot Hill, the s turn there is sometimes cut.
My little way of saying the heck with it and go anyway. :D

the s bend at the of apricot hill, after i come around the corner before it, i just head straight across the grass

looks at it this way, in a 4wd car you can handle it easily without slowing down thus making it quicker. FF cars can also handle this. I've done it in MR and FR cars as well.

ed and Misnblu - You want cutting across, you come see the cutting across master!
BTW, misnblu, where did you get your name from?

And also, I'm a great wall-rider!

And a great braggart, too...

I have a few golds, a few more silvers, and the rest bronzes. I even have one kiddie prize... it's for the slolom test in the IA license. I mean, WTF! They give you a slow crappy car and expect a miracle.

I know I know Jazza, you got a gold.

But I play VIDEO GAMES for fun first. Someday I may go back and take on the tests again... some day when it seems fun.

And as far as cutting corners through the grass . . . hey, why not. In the last S curve on Apricot Hill I always cut accross the dirt. And the last chicane on Trial Mountan.

Nothing wrong with short cut's lol through the grass but wall riding is lame. Maybe with the Escudo and GTONE but anything else is pointless.
